In the 1st I'm still all in on Frank Jackson. I'd be cool with Ike, Allen, Kennard too.

I think Josh Hart is worth trading up for in the 2nd. If not him I like Thornwell and Dorsey.

One of John Collins,Hartenstein,Ike and Jeanne will probably be there at #17 ... but at #48 there isn't any big.

Maybe we should consider to draft the best big available and we can get a good guard with our second...

Patton in the 1st Monte Morris in the 2nd

Patton and Morris would be a pretty undesirable draft for me. Not big on Patton, and I like Morris (I've said before I think he could have a Luke Ridnour type career) but there are just way too many better options IMO that will likely be available. Those other options carry more risk for sure, but I'd feel like I was massively settling if those were the two guys I came away with.

I honestly wouldnt even care if we picked Jeanne with #17 if we like him. Dude is huge, would be a good fit for us. Maybe we can trade our 1st and a future 2nd for the 2 Nets picks and grab Jeanne and Ferguson?

Or trade for an early 2nd and take Thomas Bryant

My problem with Jeanne, other than I that I think he is overrated because people see Rudy Gobert in him, is what does he give you that you don't already have? If you think he is the best player, sure take him, but in a crap shoot or same tier, would be nice to diversify our roster a little bit.

Can someone explain to me why Semi Ojeleye isn't a more coveted prospect? Legit question, because his three point shooting stats are good, his athletic testing was great, he was a big time recruit (guessing because he went to Duke)...I mean, if he slimmed down, could he cover 3s?

I like Ojeyele a lot.

Haven't looked closely enough at the late 1st/early 2nd round picks to make a list yet, but a few thoughts:

-Our pick is right in the middle of a trough in the draft, stacked 1-10 and very deep in in later picks, but 12 through about 30 looks to me to be a really risky area. I either want to trade down to get more picks in the deeper area of the draft or take another home run swing at 17.
-Giles seems to me to be the obvious gamble pick at 17 rather than Frank Jackson. I'm as desperate for guard talent as anybody, but it really feels like a lot of people are talking themselves into reaching on Frank because we urgently need backcourt help. I've watched some tape and he's a nice player but I don't see the kind of prospect you seriously reach for. If I'm missing something please let me know.
-Similarly, I don't see the Ike Anigbogu hype. He's young but he looks like a volleyball player, insanely athletic but lacking skills or feel for the game.
-TJ Leaf seems destined to be a solid contributor, especially on the Bucks considering he excels in transition and in the pick and pop.
-Vice versa, I think John Collins is a fine player but even if he hits he won't have a place on this roster. If we move Moose he makes a lot more sense.
-I don't see how Kennard won't at least end being a solid rotation player. If we've decided we aren't swinging for the fences and we aren't trading down, I think he makes a lot of sense at 17.
-I really don't know what it is about it, but Patton spooks me. Can't put my finger on it. He seems immature.

Could use a good rebounder which he certainly could be. He has a projectable game. Idk seems like the type of guy some teams sleep on and he goes in the 2nd round and 3 years later people are mad they missed out on him. I don't think he's near Gobert territory but with a late pick he wouldn't be a back choice

I see a lot of very different top 5's, a lot of different ways for the Bucks to go in this draft.

*If we do trade back I might consider taking one of the players 3-5 on my list and then take a chance on a player like Jeanne, Hartenstein, or Giles.

FWIW, I genuinely believe Harry Giles goes in the top 12. If he's cleared medically, someone in the lotto is gonna take the homerun swing on him. And if he's not cleared medically, then he should be taken off the board completely anyway.

Even if medically cleared he has had multiple surgeries where the chance of another one could severely limit his ability to perform at the highest level. Also, medically cleared doesn't mean he will regain the athleticism he had a couple years ago.

With that said, I take him at 17. I like the risk, reward. I think the top 11 guys are pretty much set it seems in this draft. From 12 on it just depends on preferences of the pro scouts and managers. There are plenty of big men in that range starting from pick 12 and on. It could go a number of ways.
