You must of been so made when we drafted Gainnis and Thon.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

If he makes some open 3's, stays in front of a guy on defense and runs the court with Giannis, he will have value. Year 3 is when we can start worrying about learning the Bucks stupid defense scheme.

My issue is that he's the softest player in the NBA. Like I can't think of a big who is more allergic to contact and physicality. Really bad news on both ends and that's a mentality thing, not a weight room thing.

Kidd's defense has become our version of the triangle

Are you talking about D.J. Wilson or John Henson?

Is it crazy to think he could be Shawn Marion esque- defensively? He's taller and less athletic but that's the ultimate ceiling in my head.

Looks like we got a new nickname for the guy that hasn't even stepped foot on an NBA court yet.

I hate Henson but he looks like prime mutombo by comparison. Wilson is the softest draftee I remember since Eric Murphy from Florida a few years back.

So we drafted one more PF who can't rebound.

Marquise Criss was even softer in college. He had a promising rookie year.

Warriors with no picks in the draft leave with Bell and Boucher. Sheesh.

(sorry, all the other draft threads are locked)

You may be right, but maybe we should let him get on an NBA court a little while before we declare his level of softness.

The irony is the Bucks supposedly wanted one of the toughest guys in the draft (Bam) the settled for, argueably, the softest player in the draft. It really comes down to toughness, Giannis and Thon were never the biggest guys, but both never had issues mixing it up with guys much stronger than them, don't shy away from contact. I look at Wilson and his toughness level equals that of Henson, soft, avoiding contact....just getting thrown around. Wilson does have skills and talent, but either you are tough or you aren't.

Didn't read through the thread. Did we decide if his ceiling is Charlie V or his floor is Charlie V?

Might be his most likely scenario, albeit with a bit better D and bit worse O/rebounding.

Softer Austin Croshere?

How high does Marquese Criss go if he's two years older? I had had the same thought earlier today although Wilson has more length whereas Criss is the more explosive leaper.

Giannis sold pencils and sunglasses to help feed his family
Thon is a Sudanese refugee trying to carve out a career at age 47

Wilson grew up in Sacramento and attended a Christian School where I have no doubt rough housing was frowned upon'
Will probably open a flower shop back home if things dont work out

So there you have it

How does he compare to Juancho Hernangomez who turned out to be a very good pick at 15 last year

negative crowd, Who should we have taken and what translatable skills would they provide that would have been far better for our future?

serious question.
