That's a great idea. I also love grilling shrimp, too.

Yeah i find it harder to get them done just right, shrimp are really important to get to the right temp imo. I also work in the seafood world so I see lots of different types and ****, and IMO getting a big flash frozen brick of good wild shrimp is so much better then some peeled farmed ones.

How long would you hit some raw shrimp for under the broiler?

2 minutes under mine each side but really I like to watch them with the oven alittle bit open also depends how big they are, if they are like U12s they are gonna take longer then some U40s. The hardest thing about seafood cooking is that its more of a feel and visual based cooking them just dropping an instant read thermometer into them like you can with chicken or pork. The simple way i tell people is they should be opaque and a C shape if they curl into an O they are overcooked. I like 16-20 counts for shrimp cocktail though. The biggest problem is if youre in MKE its gonna be hard to source really nice seafood.

On an unrelated note, I had dinner tonight at Jose's Blue Sombrero in Brookfield and it's really good, IMO. The tacos I had were really delicious and the prices were pretty reasonable, IMO.

Alton Brown has a really easy Shrimp cocktail recipe, most people have only had the **** ones they sell premade try making this one night and get back to me. Plus points if you get some legit Horseradish. Gotta cool them ASAP when they are done cooking.

As a steak lover, I haven't had an enjoyable prime rib experience that matches the hype that exists around it. Recently I unlocked the achievement and had an amazing prime rib at the Maple Tree Supper Club near Madison. Oh my!

This cut was massive.

Here is a beautiful recipe for at home:

Holy ****. I'm not much of a prime rib fan but that looks amazing.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Sorry to ask a question that's probably been discussed ad nauseam in this thread, but I'll be in the market for a TV probably within the next month or so. I'd really like to go 60" or even 65" 4k in the $700-$1kish price range. So some questions..

- Is it worth it to get a curved TV?
- Do I spend a little less on a TV to get a soundbar or similar surround sound system? My living room is relatively small so haven't found it necessary yet.
- Samsung, LG, Sony, or Visio? Other brands to consider or avoid?

I dont like curved tbh. I think you spend all ur budget on a the TV if you wanna add surround later do it.
Samsung always been my favorite but LG and Sony make good TVs also.

I have a Vizio M-Series 50inch 4K TV that I bought a couple years ago that I've enjoyed. I paired it with their 5.1 surround sound set up - a soundbar that connects wirelessly to the sub and two rear speakers. It's worked out well for me, though I often turn off the surround sound setup because I live in an apartment and, well, it's loud. I spent about $700 on the setup, and with TVs getting cheaper all the time, I could probably get a similar setup for $500-$600 today.

I can't put down the other brands, but I'd just look up reviews online of any model you're into. The Vizio set up that I got had excellent reviews online and that's what tipped the balance.

As for curved - I don't think it's necessary. My pops bought a curved Samsung, and while the screen is gorgeous, the curved aspect actually limits the angles in which you can watch the TV and get the full benefit from it.

Got realigned by a chiropractor today for the first time. I've been skeptical just because I've heard some horror stories about chiro care but the results from even just the first appointment were crazy. Any of you guys regularly have this done? How has it affected your lives?

Prime rib dinners are quite possibly the most hit or miss meal that restaurants actively have for their specials.

I'd probably like prime rib...if I were a vampire.

The only thing worse than prime rib are cannibal sandwiches.
