Let me know if people are interested in this and we can pick a date/time in the next month to try and pull this off over say a four hour period. Then compare how high people went and who we think built the best team.

Who is in?

I'm sure one of the guys that thinks defense is more important than offense can build a Smart, Avery Bradley, Roberson, Draymond, Gobert line up of their wettest dreams

World champion Mo Williams is retired so I would have to go with Smart. :)

When he shoots 40 percent from the field this year and has no range to speak of there's gonna be a lot of mad laker fans.

And I think ball will turn out pretty good.

I think if he has an MCW-ish rookie season a lot of lakers fans are going to be saying "I told you so" before the league makes adjustments and he comes down to earth. It all depends on whether he can make that hideous jumpshot, though.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if D'Angelo Russell still ends up turning into the better player of the two :dontknow:

It's not like Ball was even better in college anyway.

I agree with all of this. I said before the draft he just screamed MCW to me. We'll see.

Can we rename teams just for the hell of it?

Regardless of the answer, I think this is a cool idea.

Weird he's so difficult to trade if someone is ready to grab him at #67. But then again this fantasy draft doesn't take into account salary.

I'm repeatedly amazed by bucks fans' opinion of Monroe. He's a well-above-average starting center.

Hoody Melo is the best player in the world.

I wish 1) I was good enough to hoop in a hoody and joggers and 2) Melo could play in that all season. I'm convinced he'd at least make the conference finals.

We'll go 30 teams and 5 rounds to get a starting five. I'm not sure you go beyond that exercise because we're drafting for wins versus fantasy stats. Stay tuned. I'll get details up next week.

But for people who want in, keep replying in this thread.

He is a Jordan Brand athlete so there is the Nike connection…time for a hooded jerseys incoming Nike conspiracy theory.

Hoody Melo is the best player in the world. I've never seen him miss a shot

Well, sure, it would be great if everyone's salary was lower, but that's not the going rate for the value he provides.
