Looks extremely stacked in the top 5 with Bamba, Bagley, Porter, Doncic, and Ayton all in the mix to go #1.

I'd go:

1) Mo Bamba-Generational defensive prospect. 7'1 with 7'8 wingspan and insane athleticism and soft touch. Still very raw but I think he has the most upside.

2) Marvin Bagley III- Many have made comparisons to Brow and KG. Only other guy I'd be content taking over Bamba #1.

3) Michael Porter Jr-Big time silky smooth scorer in the KD mold.

4) Luka Doncic- I think he's the safest bet in the top 5 to be a major contributor, I just don't think he has the athleticism you'd like to see in a #1 overall pick. Might be a victim of overhype.

5) DeAndre Ayton- Solid all around center prospect with legit size (7'1) length and athleticism. Ten years ago he's probably the #1 pick but it seems like big men are kind of passé.

Bob Williams is going to have a monster year and he'll be in the top 10.

As far as the Bucks go, Isaac Bonga would fit their mold of a position-less monster athlete/crazy length/high upside guy. I wonder if we'll be high enough to pick him.

Call me crazy but I still think some team in the mid to late 20's is gonna get a steal in Gray Allen. I expect a big bounce back year from him (and yes I'm willing to die on this island).

ETA: if the Bucks shake things up I'd love to go after that BKN pick rather than a win now move. Play the long game. If there's a reasonable chance that pick is top 5 I'd give up a lot to get it. Any of those guys would easily be our #2 asset.

Why do we care about who's going to be picked #1 ?

Finding a PG that can shoot and has speed to break down the defense in our range is more challenging.

Michael Porter Jr seems to be No1.

If doncic isn't #1 he must not play in the NBA at all. It will be a scandal.

Don't know yet, but I'll still maintain that Doncic is getting pretty overrated if people have him slotted for 1st overall. Just don't see it with guys like Porter, Bagley, and Ayton in the same class.

Can anyone with insider post Givony's new mock draft.

Sucks that draftexpress is done now and everything he does will be behind a paywall at ESPN...

I voted for Porter because I think his all around offensive game at his size is going to draw a lot of attention. I also think there's going to be some Oden/Embiid stigma on Bamba, who I now believe to be the best prospect.

But I also think the big media storyline of this NBA season is going to be "Rebirth of the Big Man".

Doncic's a good prospect, but I think people are going overboard on him. I have it between Bagley and Porter, and there are a few others that could sneak in there.

Maybe we can get his dad to coach the herd to attract him here

I voted for Doncic, but thinking on it some more, I feel like it'll likely end up being Porter at the end of the day. I personally prefer Doncic though.

I've stated before that the Doncic hype is eerily reminiscent to that of Andrew Luck in the NFL. Both great prospects in their own right but feels like people are putting them on this pedestal of being once in a generation type guys because they've been told that. The film shows otherwise.

Doncic looks like a great player in games, it's unreal that he's 18.

Robert Williams has a chance to go top 3 if he takes the next step. Amazing length, athleticism, positioning, and timing. I really think he can be great. I'm expecting a monster average in rebounding and blocks from him with major minutes as a starter this year. He'll have a number of crazy lob dunks that amaze.

Its Porter or Bagley. I like Bagleys game more. Doncic has some athletic limitations and when picking #1 you just dont take the guy with the lower ceiling even if his floor is higher.
