Round of 16 will begin on Monday, October 2nd and finish on Tuesday, October 3rd.
Quarterfinals will begin on Tuesday, October 3rd and finish on Wednesday, October 4th.
Semifinals will begin on Wednesday, October 4th and will finish on Friday, October 6th.
Finals will begin on Friday, October 6th and wrap up on Sunday, October 8th.
The winner will be announced the night of Sunday, October 8th.

I am certain it will all come together. So far, this has been a great success. If you feel like you need a breather, just holler. There were a couple of us who volunteered to do the work and run the tournament if you feel like it's starting to take up too much of your time. This should be fun for you as well.

The voting results are interesting. I would've had both of my teams in if I had voted for myself. Instead, I ended up tied for the last spot and lost the virtual coin toss. No complaints from me. I'm looking forward to seeing how the tournament plays out.

Great work HR, hopefully the turn out was great. Either way this is testing the waters and setting up a great foundation for an annual thing.

Could set up a league on whatifsports next offseason for the epilogue on this. Run it 50 times and see how the rings fall. Not sure how that site works but it seems like it *might* be able to support something like that.

So, I haven't thought about this until now, but is everyone fine with setting the second-round matchups based on the seeds in the first round? i.e the highest seeded winner will play the lowest seeded winner, and so on and so on?

Yeah, it totally just fills out the rest of the roster. If you can control the minutes people play it doesn't make much of a difference, but worse case scenario we could clone the exact same players as 9-12 on every team.

I've got the best player on either team, so in the minds of some, that'll give me an advantage at first glance. We'll see how it looks by tomorrow, but it's going to be close.

Before the season, your bench looks incredibly weak to me, and I'm just not sure about the fit of your other players, so I understand the vote.

I think it's more so that his team is loaded with tons of shooting and has capable bigs. You have insane defensive bigs, but all your best defensive players are far less good if they have to chase smaller guys around screens, which is what his team excels at. It's just not a good match up for your team. Tough draw for you in round 1 since there's plenty of other match ups where you'd win out.
