Which happens first? Kidd fired or this thread goes another 100 pages?

Another 100 pages

Kidd will propbably be top-5 longest tenured coach in the League by the time he's done with the Bucks, and then it will be due to something stupid like uncontrollable chronic flatulence.

I found it rather cute at how Sparky stood up for Kidd and when he interviewed Jason Terry, basically threw the entire fanbase under the bus all while pumping himself up like he loves everyone with the Bucks.

Continuing a discussion from the other thread, while I agree Kidd needs to go, I think it's asinine to say Kidd has had nothing to do with Giannis' growth as a player. Sure the majority of it is on Giannis, but to say he's learnt nothing about being a better NBA players from a HOF PG is harsh.

I'll predict that Kidd will get canned by the ASG if this team has fallen below the 8th seed by then. And they're only a half game ahead of Indiana for the 8th seed right now.

We're in year four of Kidd now and the team just isn't going anywhere. Even if you buy the whole "we're young" narrative about us being up and down, you'd hope to see some improvement but there just isn't any. We were a .500 team in year one and nearly four years later nothing has changed. Professional sports is a results business above all else and Kidd isn't delivering.

I don't put it all on him but he's a significant factor to why we're not going anywhere. It's not even a hard call at this stage.

Starting off the new thread in 25th place defensively and 18th in SRS.

Looking forward to another 100 pages of no accountability and nothing happening.

The main reason we'll struggle with posts from here on is that the arguments as to why he should go have been elucidated in the previous thread and in various other places on the board.

This thread will be people venting, primarily, then I-told-you-so when we go on a bit of a run. The only hope for rapid progression in pages is for people to get into verbals with each other.

Kidd has added value to this team, there is no doubt. But not enough value. There are other coaches who could have provided more value to this point and for the future as well.

So many discussions on the internet boil down to binary arguments. Either all good or all bad. The real world doesn't work that way.

I agree that Kidd would probably make a great personal development coach, like a shorter KG kind of thing.
Unfortunately head coaching is not about that, and Giannis was working mostly with the **** you up guy anyway, I can't remember his name right now.

2014-15: -0.09 SRS (16th), +0.4 point differential

2015-16: -3.98 SRS (26th), -4.2 point differential

2016-17: -0.45 (17th), -0.2 point differential

2017-18: -0.34 SRS (18th), -0.5 point differential

Negative SRS all 4 years, just 1 season with a positive point differential, in year 1. Negative the last 3 years. Below average defense 3 straight years. Currently 23rd. The Knicks starting Enes Kanter, Jarrett Jack, Courtney Lee and having guys like McDermott and Beasley off their bench are 14th defensively.

I agree that if we start to fall a few games out of the 8th seed spot, Kidd will have to get the axe. There's a breaking point for everyone, and at the end of the day these Billionaires with a B care more about $$$ than they do friendships.

Are you new? When has that stopped this board? :D

But for real, another 100 pages for sure. I don't have any confidence in him getting canned.

The owners are terrible

They're like this rich guy who buys the most expensive tools for his midlife crisis hobby, and then shows you this terrible BS he made and everybody goes "Awww how nice" because they don't want to insult him.

Most NBA owners are like that but the wiser ones leave the important decisions to someone with a clue.

I don't see Kidd being fired during the season unless he completely loses the team. Guaranteed another 100 pages, probably another 1000.

The end of this season will dictate Kidd's future. Kidd won't be back next season if the Bucks don't pick it up once Jabari returns.
