I'm not worried. I am sure all the good coaches will wait until the Bucks are done before accepting any of these other jobs. I bet they are chomping at the bit to work with salary cap expert and former FedEx employee Jon Horst not to mention this stellar ownership group.

There are some really good candidates available this year. I'd say it would be just about impossible to **** this up, but Bucks...

By the way, we really better have a list and reaching out to these guys. I could see this "organization" just assuming that they don't need to reach out to them, that guys like Bud, Messina, etc. will just wait

His roster moves with LAC were sinful and the stuff with his son is especially egregious, but I'm not really on board with the Rivers-is-a-bad-coach narrative. I don't see anything wrong with the way his teams has performed, the strategies they've employed, the lineups, player development, or the chemistry his teams have had. He has achieved about what you'd expect from a competent coach in a variety of different situations, from having McGrady and 11 scrubs in Orlando, to having to integrate 3 hall-of-famers on the fly and get them to buy in to a team concept while managing one of the most difficult egos of this century (Rondo) in Boston, to trying to compete against teams like GS and SAS with inferior talent, flawed players like Jordan/Reddick, and injury-prone stars like Blake and CP3 in LAC. He's succeeded with multiple stars, no stars, and everything in between. Players seem to respect the hell out of him too. At worst, he gets out of his own way and lets his teams play to their strengths while holding them accountable. I think the Bucks could do a lot worse. Keep him the hell away from personnel decisions of course, but you could say that about basically any coach.

The respect players have for him is the main thing. I think this team needs someone who can reign guys in a little and hold them more accountable. Khris and Bledsoe especially need to occasionally be put in their place without having it undermine chemistry, and Rivers seems to be an expert at that.

Messina being in the market to head coach a team is a big deal. I know there was some narrative that he was the coach in waiting to coach the Spurs after Pop was done.

Is he in the Kidd-terrible category as a coach? No.But again there are better candidates out there.
And didnt CP3 say that he left the team because of him?Not a good look. And i am almost sure that any coach we get will meddle in personel decisions so i dont want him at all.

Stotts might get canned after Portland's sweep.

Wasn't keen on stotts when he was here, but if we can get him and Dame here with Giannis we might have something. Jabari/Bledsoe for Lillard? I might be ready for it.

Stotts is a good coach but he won't be back here. It would suck though because it opens up another spot. Portland would attract good candidates.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

No. Just because I don't want to deal with a thesaurus to figure out what the F Epi is talking about
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

Stotts would be my 3-4 choice. At least we would have an efficient offense. We could (will?) do a lot worse.

Not much interest in Stotts. Seems to struggle to make playoff adjustments.
All posts are my own opinion.

I think Portland need to blow it up but Stotts has been fine. Trade Lillard and McCollum for top 10 picks, be bad for a year, get another one, see what you've got. Collins is a keeper.

If Orlando hires Stotts, they could probably do #5 and Fournier+change for Lillard. Cleveland trades the Brooklyn pick and Hill for McCollum. Portland jumpstarts the rebuild around something like Collins/Porter/Bridges and a pick next year or tries to put together a package for Doncic.
