Thon has been amazing, but the rebounding still scares me. 31 minutes tonight and just 2 rebounds. Partly because he is trying to block every shot any Celtic takes, but he still needs to figure out how to secure some boards.

Haters begin to love Thon again.

He is like the "perfect" wife that you decide to spend your life with her.

He is not too beautiful, he has obvious flaws but her character, commitment and dedication makes you fall in love with her completely.

All you have to do in the future is to ... always remember that you know her flaws, embrace them, accept them and focus on her strengths...
Draft picks: '15 Jerian Grant, '16 Thon Maker, '17 Isaiah Hartenstein/*John Collins, '18 TD Devonte Graham, Hamidou Diallo, '20 Sam Merrill, Killian Tillie, '21 Joe Wieskamp, '22 TU C.Braun/G.Procida '23 Tristan Vukcevic/Maxwell Lewis

He will play PF minutes under a new coach, of course.

The franchise is getting a long-term gift here.....potential trade value in the off-season.

I'm really excited to see Thon contribute. Hopefully it has increased his value so he can be included in an offseason deal for some rebounding.

I'm excited just thinking about that possibility.

Or maybe Vivek decides he can bring DJ Wilson back home to Sacramento. Thon and DJ for Willie Cauley-Stein.

Would love to send out Thon, but WCS sucks. Do not want.

I'm not yet fully convinced yet on Thon moving forward, but without him, I think we are down 3-1 in the series.

Or it's over in four. Even comfortable Game 3 might have had a different outcome without the shot-blocking threat.

Those eager to turn Thon into a trade chip because his value has gone up remind me of timeshare buyers. They don't understand the fully loaded costs of the transaction and often end up regretting it.

Wish I trusted the Bucks with a draft pick, and I wish all of our stupid contracts could disappear to go after Favors. I think the biggest issue with Thon right now is he simply isn't the player the Bucks need. That's more on the Bucks than him.

This is where my head is at. As much as I've enjoyed Playoff Thon, he's still only getting 5.1 rebounds per 36 in the playoffs, somehow significantly worse than his already horrible 6.5 rebounds per 36 in the regular season.

If his postseason play makes it easier to get Kawhi, or to trade up to get a C in this draft (**Robert Williams**Wendall Carter**), then it'll all be worth it.

If you'd have told me 3 months ago Thon would be playing crunch time minutes in the playoffs and doing well, I'd have called you crazy. Glad it's happening but I'm still pretty sure it's fools gold long term. Thing is, even with all his issues his shot is generally fine when he has time to catch/shoot so in theory he's what you want next to Giannis on offense. But, he can't rebound and once he 'proves' his shot then he'll get run aty more and not be able to get it off (like Snell). Still it at least spreads the floor.

Exactly. Potentially 3 gifts. Thon, Delly, & Jabari.

Conversely, the potential exists for keeping the head coach, GM, overpaying Jabari, and keeping the band all together shall we beat the Celtics.

I do hope someone has developed an interest in the 26 year old. He loves repeat performances. 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, first round playoffs

If there is a max player that a team wants to move the salaries would likely work if you do a Jabari S&T and include Thon and Snell.

For instance, someone like CJ McCollum.

Or just any Thon/Jabari package now would have tremendous value.

Also, can we trade our 1st round pick? I thought it wasn’t traceable since we still have the trade out their with Phoenix. Or is that just preventing us from trading future 1sts?

He still can't catch the ball or rebound. But the fact of the matter is the Bucks have played some of their best basketball when 'good' Thon shows up. His ability to block the shots that lead to fast breaks the other way is invaluable to this particular group of guys. And its not like the choice is between Hakeem and Thon. Its John freaking Henson we're talking about here. All that "maybe we can trick a team into giving something of value for him" can wait until the season is over. Right now, with a chance to win our first playoff series in 17 years, Thon Maker should be on the floor.
