Oregon’s last 10 games rating on TeamRankings (also similar to what the Vegas books use)...#13 in the nation. Badgers have been top 15 all year. That mostly explains it the basically pick spread.

So, yeah. Usually the books just use whatever the full season rating is in their algorithm. A “hot” team can be a fallacy most of the time so they generally don’t tend to take recency into account.

But when a team like Oregon takes an obvious turn and plays top 15 ball for 1 month, they may use that value.

So the Badgers have drawn a team playing a prolonged period of top 15 basketball as a 12 seed.

If you rate Oregon just on their past 10 games, they are basically even with Wisconsin as a fringe top 15 KenPom team. Pk spread.

They apparently moved to a 4 forward lineup and have been dominant since then. 4 starters that are 6-9. That’s going to give the Badgers offense hell.

What a strange world where the guy defending the Badgers all year (me) and the guy who only negatively trolls them all year have come to an agreement that this is a **** draw and Oregon is rightfully favored.

Even stranger that defending is defending but anything else is trolling.
I simply used my eyes and saw a bunch of useless undersized guards that couldn't shoot or create early in the season. Why is that trolling instead of what simply turned out to be the truth ?

The spread has a lot more to do with Oregon being really good lately than it has to do with Wisconsin being bad. But I’ll agree that Davison and Trice probably won’t fare well on Friday.

Won't get a walk in the 1st round, but if they get thru they won't exactly face a marquee program in the 2nd in K-State. Have a great recent history against them, and Oregon. Probably even more annoyed to play us again than vice versa. They could give us some variety for a change.

And it'll finish Wisconsin -2. Because sharps like free money.

If the Badgers hit the 3 reasonably (say 33%), this is a pretty easy win. The PAC12 is a mid major.

Counterpoint: no less an authority than Bill Walton has referred to the Pac 12 as "The Conference of Champions." Have to wonder who's really telling the truth.

Badgers get underseeded (by most metrics) and paired against best/hottest 12 seed in their own geography. Seems about par for the course for the Committee. Not a bad matchup in the next round though.

Bill Walton isn't lying. He's just living in the past.

Ahh, Chonesy, I'm guessing this is a Bob Frost moment for us. Bill Walton is not a favorite of mine.

THIS IS THE MOST DISAPPOINTING DEVELOPMENT SINCE THE TIME BOB AND JER TEAMED UP FOR "DYLAN AND THE DEAD." ON PAPER IT MADE SO MUCH SENSE BUT THE RESULTS SPOKE FOR THEMSELVES. TWO TITANS JOINING FORCES, ALL THE TUMBLERS OF THE UNIVERSE ALIGNED AND YET SPARKS DID NOT FLY, COMBUSTION WAS NOT SPONTANIZED, MAGIC WAS NOT CONJURED, ATOMS WERE NOT SPLIT, BISCUITS WERE NOT BUTTERED, BEER WAS NOT KRAUSENED. A TEAM IS NOT A COLLECTION OF INDIVIDUALS, IT'S A SYNERGISTIC LIVING ORGANISM. NATURE! NURTURE! MUSIC! GREEN ENERGY!

I LOVE MY BIKE.

You alright, tho.

Len Elmore says that Reuvers is one of the best stretch 4s in the nation so we're obviously fine.

(I'm very clearly a big Reuvers fan from all evidence the past two seasons + recruitment...but I'm also realistic)

The shooters on this team have some ugly ass jumpshots.
