Wiggins actually played entire seasons.
Were there contracts based on what the did, or potential? You understand my point... you don't need to side step it.
A combination of both. When Embiid played he was an absolute monster and remarkable talent. When Wiggins played he was really really good, but lacked defensive skills, which they thought under Thib would improve. Neither of them had two ACL injuries.
Seriously, I get your point. I understand that contracts are given on potential. But Jabari's potential is incredibly lower than both Embiid and Wiggins. I will also say, Wiggins contract is horrible. It was way too high, but that's another story.
I agree. He is not as good of a prospect as Embiid and not as healthy as Wiggins, also he is not getting paid like either. My point is, NBA contracts are based of of talent and potential. Obviously the ACL injuries are an issue. He would likely be getting a max contract without them. Exum has been often injured and signed a 10 mil contract in the same market as Jabari.
If Jabari wishes the Bucks offered 18 mil... Exum just got 10 mi split the difference call it a day. Have him make more than Snell, less than Kris. Seems like a reasonable compromise.
