If you line up even just a modest invasion fleet for, say, Sunday morning everyone on the island's going to be so exhausted you're pretty likely to be met with "Just take it, it's yours".

I'm 95% sure that 100% of those names aren't real.

It certainly does make it easier! Feel like you want to die? Just walk around outside for a while, it'll sort itself out.

I start reconsidering my existence on this planet in any temperature above 85F.

If I had to live with one temp for the rest of my life, I'd choose a high of 60F and a low in the upper 40s.

If you grow up in Australia 85F/30C is just a way of life in summer and you get accustomed to it- I'm not a massive fan of the heat, either, but I just think of 30C as being "a bit warm". It's when it hits around 95F/35C that I start to go "yeah, that's a bit too hot to do things". Anything over 104F/40C is just a **** joke.

Sydney can get very humid- any time you get over 70% relative humidity and around 40C on the same day even people born and raised here just give up on life.

70'/50 would be ideal for me. If I want it hotter I'd go to Art's. Colder, I'd visit my ex wife.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Aren't visiting your ex-wife and going to Art's the same thing?

There was a thermometre in Pt Augusta that recorded 52 degrees the other day. That's reasonably warm. I believe the actual recorded temperature was 49.1.

So what are people doing? I saw someone left a steak in their car in the morning and when they came back in the arvo it was cooked. That's multitasking.

It's completely dependent on humidity for me. I can deal with heat just fine but once the dew point starts climbing I'm absolutely miserable. The same is true for cold. 35 and raining is my least favorite weather by far.

That's almost 126 Fahrenheit.

Reasonably warm.

Who remembers the summer of 1995 and 2012? Those were brutal.

South Australians, mate- they're just wrong in the head. They fled the East coast to create a utopian society, found a spot and went "well this looks like a great breeding ground for serial killers, what with its somehow-hotter-and-with-even-more-giant-sharks appeal".

I was thinking of taking a frying pan out and sitting it in the sun in the middle of the day to see if I could fry an egg, but then realised that I'd have to be standing outside in the middle of the day to do that (so I'll just assume "yes, it would probably work".

1988 was the worst I'm guessing. You're probably a tad young to remember [or maybe young enough that you didn't care].

I was a window cleaner that summer. Holy balls was that horrible.

Edit: turns out you're right. 2012 had an average temperature of 74.1. 1988 & 1995 were tied at 73.8.

1988 had 35 days over 90 though, which is 3rd most to 1936 & 1955. I swear to God they were all right in a row too.

Hey, I'm in Victoria now. So apparently I prefer a chronic lack of infrastructure.
