Maybe I misunderstand your question, but Giannis has had an almost unprecedented development over the years he has been in the league. It seems that he (and possibly the people he trains with) know what they are doing. So, in my eyes, if he believes Sweeney helps him and wants to keep him around he should be able to do so.

I understand the concerns about his shooting form. However,
- He has shown slow but consistent improvement in his shooting percentages (considering he increases the volume in some areas and adds new moves to his arsenal)
- If Bud or Bud's assistants do not like some parts of Giannis' development I am confident that they will intervene.

Yet his 3pt % was highest (by far) in his rookie year - before Kidd and his coaches worked with him. Giannis has definitely progressed, but I'm not at all sure how much credit you give to Sweeny or any other of Kidd's staff.

To me, this Sweeny thing is more like a kid with his security blanket. At some point Sweeny will need a one-way trip to the washing machine....

His jumper hasn't improved enough to think "Yea, let's keep the guy who works on it with him around". With a entirely new coaching staff coming in with a guy who has actually improved players shot it's the perfect time for Giannis to move on.

Kidd was responsible for our defense and not changing it. Not Sweeney, an assistant. I don't care who's scheme it was to begin with. The HC makes that change and he didn't. Sweeney will adjust under Bud and likely wont have a large role outside of the day to day work he does with Giannis anyways. Heck, I wish they'd have kept Vin as well. 2 end of the bench coaches. One who happens to be important to our best player. I worry not.

Lol, is no one in Milwaukee? I mean, given the choice, everybody should be working with Giannis over anybody else, but ****, maybe we should have an extra coaching staff.

Jason Kidd and Kevin Garnett are in MKE working with Thon, I think.
