Somehow I missed this info...

So to recap, seems like when Donte fell to us we no longer had to hold Heurter ransom to secure the extra 1st?

Donte worth two 1sts confirmed!

Could you imagine coach Bud's facial expressions while trying to coach up Vaughn?

It's really hard not to think of a defensive back when watching him. So quick to break on the ball, such great balance.

Agree and will also add DDV is also SOLID in addition to SPECTACULAR on defense. His success rate in shooting the passing lanes is incredible AND he rarely gets beat. It's like having a 6th defender on the floor. Truly a joy to watch.

And this is why I never really got the hand-wringing over that rumored trade to get an extra pick. So much misinformation and smokescreens circulate around draft time that you have no idea who teams have on their draft board, and I wasn't even the biggest Donte fan. Don't get cute with "assets" and just take the guy you want. I still think Huerter can be a good player in the future but I sure as hell wouldn't take him over Donte at this point, and Omari Spellman ain't bridging that value gap.

Just want to mark the date 8/13/2020. It's the date Donte will be the age Brogdon was on the day we drafted him.

Donte is LITERALLY playing all the minutes that Brogdon would have had.

I love that our team revolves around a superstar who makes his teammates better. You think Donte or any young player for that matter would ever have a chance to develop like this playing with a clown like James Harden.

I think the credit here goes to the coach more than anything.

There is a legitimate argument that DDV is better than Brogdon

And because of this the Bucks are actually better without Brogdon, as strange as that sounds.

How many guards in the league are better individual and team defenders than DDV? It can’t be a very long list

You are stepping out of bounds.

Its too early to say that.

We haven't seen playoffs DDV.

You could rely on Brogdon to carry the team when the ball was hot, I still don't trust DDV cause its too early.

We just have to wait and see.

I guess we are really lucky that DDV on rookie contract is providing somewhat close to what Brogdon provided.
Draft picks: '15 Jerian Grant, '16 Thon Maker, '17 Isaiah Hartenstein/*John Collins, '18 TD Devonte Graham, Hamidou Diallo, '20 Sam Merrill, Killian Tillie, '21 Joe Wieskamp, '22 TU C.Braun/G.Procida '23 Tristan Vukcevic/Maxwell Lewis

Disagree. Giannis values good bball players & high work ethic. He proclaimed that DDV was making a leap prior to the season, or just that he looked great.

But to the point. Giannis played with entitled vets who looked down on him. He's the antithesis of those guys. As far as dominating the ball, he's a more efficient scorer than Harden. Exceptions being off nights like Phila, Dec 25th largely due to a bad back.

DDV beats Brogdon in almost all advanced stats: BPM, VORP, WS, WS/48, RPM

DDV has only played 49 fewer minutes this year than Brogdon. Yes he plays 8 fewer mins/game but also beats Brogdon this year in durability, having played in 9 more games.

No he's not. I'm not 100% on that opinion, but I'm 85 or 90. Brogdon misses way too much time which is what I've said since they (correctly) let him walk. DDV is on the court every game, and that's what makes it an 85 or 90 instead of 100 was DDV's injuries last season. You know Brodgon is going to miss 25% of the games at minimum. If DDV plays 100% of the games he is a more valuable player than Brogdon in my opinion.
