Where does he get PT? Snell/Sterling are going to eat up those bench guard minutes

Not a fan of this pick simply because the Bucks picked him. Prove me wrong, Donte, prove me wrong.

This is a pretty fun pick. Really like a lot of what Donte brings. Great athlete that shows on both ends, very good shot creator, clutch shot maker, capable defender, great motor/intensity, IMO can play both guard spots.

He was not my first choice, but I feel a helluva lot better about this pick than I did with the Wilson pick last year. Like not even close.

A ginger named Donte is the most exciting thing to come out of Delaware ever. Otherwise, awful.

You don't have to be very good to steal minutes from Tony Snell and Sterling Brown.

Well, he was like #14 or 15 on my board of 9 guys I’d be happy with at 17.

Not bad. I would have taken the Creighton kid and buffed up our D but this kid can definitely score. Walker's shooting seems suspect.

I didn't have him 1st or even 2nd tier in that spot, but I still think it's a decent pick. He has low bustability. Pretty confident he's a rotation player at least. Performed well in the combine games, which should mean a lot going by history, as sleepers like Kuzma and Brogdon had in the past. He does the little things. Gets into passing lanes, to loose balls/rebounds first over his man, can space the floor, make the extra pass, stay w/ his man, etc. Don't know if he's a focal point. Will have a lot to do with whether he can guard 1's well, shoot over them with efficiency, and run a team sufficiently. He's shown flashes.

Someone compared his statistical profile to DJ Wilson though, and funnily enough they had the exact same PER their junior year - 20.9. But I thought he was a good player his sophomore year. He just played more minimalist and was on a deep team. He was a lot less erratic. And he matches up more physically I think. He's a skilled, b-ball i.q. guy, which is an improvement over just all long athletes and fillers.
