FYI skones, I think you're not including Bagley in your cap space estimation for the Kings.

I just feel comfortable knowing Horst is at the helm & the owners are ready to weigh in when necessary.

True. So maxish is like 22. At this point, I don't think Jabari get's 15M a year fwiw.

Bucks FA and offseason discussion thread

Post#5 » by Nowak008 » Wed Jun 27, 2018 4:57 pm

We need to capitalize on Brogs trade value. It will never be higher than right now.

Suns, Magic have cap space and assets - let's get out of our cap hell and refill the cupboard

Damn I didn't realize Brogdon is already 25.

Wouldn't you have to include deadcap as well?

I still have no idea what he's going to end up with. I'd be surprised with a huge fully guaranteed deal, and I'd be surprised if he takes the QO, but I feel like anything in the range of taking 2/20 from us to getting 4/80 from someone else feels firmly in play.

Remind me, aside from pending contract extension, why we're in such a hurry to trade Brogdon? Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

It's all about the pending contract.

Hell no to using valuable, young, and cost-controlled players just to dump a bad contract. Trade Middleton and Bledsoe if you're gonna try and maximize assets.

He is the only tradable asset we have.

Don't have our first next year, Mid, Bledsoe are expiring... everyone else isn't worth a ham sandwich

And what do you propose we trade him for? And I swear Nowak, if you come at me with a proposal for MKG or Cody Zeller I'm going to roll my eyes

FWIW I have their space at $18,785,688 if they renounce everybody.

Brogdon is not a young and cost controlled player.

I guess I'm just confused. Is Brogdon still really that underrated around here?

What's the correct way to rate him? Is he one of the best 30 guards in the league?

He's a huge positive at 2m a year. When you are paying Giannis/Middleton a combined 50M+, is MB good value at $15m+ he might get on the open market? Especially for a guy who is going to be 25 and may not be a starter.

Personally, I set up my cards to clear space, keep his low cap hold, try to add a 3rd star and resign MB after but there are a lot of variables and I see the reason for trading him now if you don't think we are ECF material this year.

Midds on a max sounds like trouble.....The only player on this roster warranted of a max is Giannis.

No one else should make over $20 million. That player just isn't on the roster yet.

I wouldn't say underrated. I do rate him. But he's also probably going to make 15m as soon as 2019/2020.
