I think they're afraid to just cancel the one-and-done rule after teams have traded away so many draft picks that would be impacted by that, hence the discussions that one-and-done will remain in place until at least 2022.

That’s best for the player, but I think for the health of the league, the “G-League Year” is the best way to go. Lottery teams can get a good look at how well the 18-year olds do against borderline NBA talent night in and night out, rather than the crapshoot of drafting high school players.

Maybe it would have toughened up DJ, but probably not.

Jontay Porter with a torn ACL/MCL. Out for the season.

Enter the draft when you're a first round pick, kids.

I mean it can be good for improving but the main issue is it exposes you and hurts your draft stock.

It'll hurt some, it will help others. The pretenders will suffer. The deserving will benefit.

Not a bad thing IMO.

And the worst teams in the league will likely get better faster, which is good for the league.

Feel terrible for Jontay. Although, now maybe this means he falls to us at #30 in the draft.

He was the guy I really wanted the Bucks to pick. Had a shot at the late lottery if he would have stayed in. Bummer for him.

Sad for Jontay. Fortunately for him, his game doesn't depend on his athleticism. Still wouldn't mind ending up with him somehow.

Especially if you're a member of that family. Their sister had 5 acl tears and had to retire. Can't expect any of them to have healthy careeres.

Absolutely. Anyone telling these young men to go back to school when they are projected 1st rounders is doing them a disservice. When you have the opportunity to get millions of dollars guaranteed you can't risk it.

I'm a big fan of Cam Reddish

I haven't even looked at mocks, but I'd imagine he's top 5.

Duke has three guys who might go 1-3 in the draft. Barrett is crazy talented.

I was skeptical about Zion, but I was wrong.

I still like Reddish more as a modern NBA player.

Zion looked incredible. Only one game but wow. He looks smooth and to have that athleticism at his size is so rare.

I do too, but if Zion develops a consistent shot, I really don't know how you guard him. He's the most athletic, freakish build I've ever seen.

Barrett, Reddish and Zion all looked like NBA stars last night.
