Imagine the level of BS we are about to endure once Giannis comes near the unrestricted free agency.

One of the best commercials I've ever seen.

Nike your turn now!

I think they purposely delayed the Freaks 1 for the finals or his MVP ceremony.

No BS. He'll sign his supermax next summer. I'm like 95% sure of it. 8-)

Let's say that both Giannis and the Bucks agree to a deal on his end of his contract in two years but they keep it a secret.
Does the huge media attention to our franchise favour us or cause us more problems?

AD's madness trashed the Pelicans but it was clear that he wanted out because he couldn't win by himself so it's not the same.
I think if we keep Giannis resigning open it will cause many trouble to the other teams with the possible trade package rumours etc.
The Lakers got destroyed like that this season, the Celtics(Tatum) got damaged too for example.

KnicksGod wrote:The only good news is that the playoffs are still a valid filter of REAL talent. Which is why Ant is really unreliable come playoff time and his teams always go down in flames. It's because he's a fake lead scorer, which is very common now in the NBA ... it's also something KP and Timmy aspire to apparently.

KnicksGod wrote:Reps and experience won't fix his jumpshot enough to make him a lead scorer. He'll be a good regular season scorer and then a minor disaster come playoffs, as I've predicted and been right about every year.

And I like him. As a distant 2nd or really ideally a 3rd scorer. He's obviously a multi-tooled player who we all like. But he's not a lead scorer. Only in the narrow, hype-driven mindset of a common fan.

KnicksGod wrote:Giannis does not have the skill level to be a lead scorer in the playoffs. He's got the skill level to win 50+ games in the regular season and put up a lot of points. Those two things are really different, unless something changes in the playoffs.

It's truly a gold mine of being wrong. He has had it out for Giannis. Gotta love the people that barely watch players and give outrageous takes.

To the victor go the spoils. Congratulations -- you guys are playing great! And I'm happy for you and Giannis actually. I'm close to admitting final defeat (I'm in the bunker right now).

(I have watched him play a lot though lol.)

Good luck the rest of the way.

Great commercial. They missed the chance to show the extra Bull power you get by combining Milko and Tiropita for breakfast though

Everyone in his ear about getting a jumper.

Would rather have him meet with Hakeem and work on his post game.

Lol at people overreacting. This is Giannis first ecf, relax. This team wouldn't be even close to being in this position without his amazing play against Boston. He was great in games 1-2 against Toronto. His defense has been fantastic. He will get better. He's only 24.

He needs some kind of jumper as well as work on passing accurately out of drives.

Tim Duncan as well... If he could figure out the Timmy D bank shots, that would be helpful.

Well said. And it only took one of the best defenders of all time to contain him. No shame in that.

Points wise, averaging 26, with no nightly guaranteed secondary help ala klay thompson.

Also I take you back to game 3, dude was a defensive monster, he fouls out and kawhi shuts the door on us. Now i know we were poop in attack but it seemed like kawhi couldn't do much with giannis on the floor. Imagine we take that game....

Overreacting to what? Hes missing key FTs. Doesnt have to make them all but with how close game 3 and 5 were. If he shoots his avg. The game is completely different.
He got us here. He has to finish it. Doesnt matter his age.
5/16, 5 missed FTs and 8 turnovers in game 3.
5 missed FTs in game 5.

He is still very raw as a basketball player which is fine since he hasn't been playing since he was 3 like most of these guys. Things aren't necessarily second nature for him.

I dont know that he needs a jumper but the free throw shooting when it matters needs to get better. Our whole team could use some work on decision making as well. We still ain't smart.

Who wants to bet against Giannis being 10% better again next year?

Hopefully at least 8 or 9 of those percentage points goes to playoff free throw shooting.

I mean, he's only 24. We (I) have some high expectations for someone not fully developed yet.

Jordan won his first title at age 28. TWENTY. EIGHT.
