Yeah,nice piece on Giannis.

It's already being discussed in the General Board.

Some people are bashing Giannis,a lot of people are bashing Greece as a country,it's full of political comments and the cherry on top is some Raptorfans take this nice piece on Giannis as a sign he'll go to the Raptors.

Can a Mod go and lock it up plz.Prez are you here?

I think it's just a dumb discussion. I mean, his parents are Nigerian, of course they're gonna raise them on their customs, foods, traditions, etc. What would they know about Greece, they're learning it as they go just like the kids were. Eventually the world will get to a point that putting people into demographic boxes/groups and pitting them against each other will go away.

He loves Greece, he's falling in love with the States and wants to learn about his Nigerian roots. Nice piece. This kid is special. My parents are also immigrants (from Greece) and I consider myself blessed to be raised with both cultures.

That's a really good start. I just wish it didn't take him so long to set up and shoot. He basically approaches it like a free throw. If he can keep hitting at 40% it's great efficiency, but it doesn't make the rest of his game much easier because a defender can wait a long time to make sure he's actually going to shoot it before putting a hand in his face. Would love to see him take more of a Lopez approach and just fling it, but maybe he's just not very accurate doing that.

I was gonna make a post about Giannis being SHAZAM more then Superman because of the Greek origins and how he was a boy gifted with powers that took him a couple years to master... seemed like poor timing with him embracing his Nigerian roots (which I’m all for)

I agree, but it could still develop. I mean the guy is 24 years old.

Hell even Lopez took 7 years before he even MADE a 3 pointer in a game and now look at him.

But I also think Lopez has a confidence about his shot that Giannis doesn't (yet). I mean the guy will be 0 for 11 and keep firing.

So we can all agree that Giannis is the greatest human being alive, right?

He really is the most likable superstar in the NBA and maybe even in pro sports. I hope he never changes.

We have now reached the point where things Giannis says in the media make the WT.

Ironically enough on the topic of not focusing on the media.

Nice to see something said by any pro athlete that has some actual meaning. Side bonus is the Bucks were able to find the guy that said it. Rare commodity indeed these days. True leaders know what, when, and how to say things.

Yeah, honestly, if First Take, First Things First and all of these other shows are never posted on here, no American would give a **** because we know what they're all about and we know that they're garbage.

I love Giannis, but he is not a quote machine and it seems like that's by choice. Dude took the media relations course at the Crash Davis Finishing Academy.

LOB podcast guys summed it up pretty well last night. The only viable strategy that teams are employing for stopping Giannis at this point is to just foul the **** out of him every single time he pivots in the post. It's both awesome that defenses are basically treating him like modern-day Shaq, but also infuriating that the officials are letting teams get away with it so often.
