Still a firm believer that Korver would help immensely on nights like last night where no one else can hit a three.

A firm believer in we'll have more nights where we need SG defence help over a SG shooting help.

Can someone explain to me how 37 year old Korver is better than DDV/PattyC/Snell?

He's one of the best shooters ever.

Sure, if you're sold on Snell, Middleton and Brogdon shooting it like they have been all season. I'm not.

Is there any actual traction to this Korver talk or is it just wishful thinking right now?

So is Steve Kerr. Korver cannot play defense at all anymore.

I also think Korver is borderline useless at this point, but if they'll take our crap in a package, I'd rather he sit on our bench than Cleveland's.

Yes I trust the 40% career 3pt shooters to mostly remain the same. Middleton is a different story because of his higher volume but he should still be high 30s percentage wise. Snell is the best 1 on 1 defender of the three and that's a bigger problem. Korver wont help that.

Brogdon prior to this year was a 39.5% 3 point shooter on 5.2 3s per 100 possessions. This year he's a 40.8% on 5.4 3s per 100 possessions.

Snell as mediocre overall as he is shot 40.4% from 3 his first two seasons as a Buck. So while he's likely to not keep hitting at 46% clip, he probably won't fall off to 35% or something either.

Prior to last year Middleton's career low 3 point percentage as a Buck was 39.6% and got as high as 43.3%. So while there will probably be a little bit of regression, it shouldn't be that much and the increased volume of 3s should more than offset any percentage decrease and it's not like he's shooting 60% on 3s now and it's going to crash. It's 45.9 so he should settle in at around 40-42%.

Yeah, I don't think Korver is needed. Backup pg would sure be handy, though.

Eh, I'm still not concerned about wing depth so Korver seems pretty irrelevant. If anything, I'm looking to see if "Stretch-5 John Henson" plus our recently acquired 2020 2nd rounder can net Dwyane Dedmon's expiring contract.

Just being a better shooter doesn't make him a better player. Novak is probably a better shooter than them, too. Do you want him suiting up?

FWIW Cleveland was DRAMATICALLY better defensively last season with Korver on the floor. While he's extremely poor individually, he's a pretty intelligent team defensive guy.

Patty McDunk&3, along with DDV looking like a well rounded player that can contribute, makes getting Korver somewhat irrelevant. We can't even find minutes for Sterling Brown on this roster right now. Now, if you can move Delly in the deal and aren't giving up a first, go for it, otherwise, don't see the appeal.

The main reason to take korver is to not let any of raps/celts/76ers have him.
Obviously the sixers need him way more than the bucks. Don't let it happen.
I'm fine with giving away brown/maker/delly/2nd rounder, individually or as a package.

If we can't find minutes for him (and I agree that Pat and DDV make him redundant more or less) then it'd probably be a bad look to trade for him anyway. I'm sure he wants to play, you don't want him to be disgruntled.

We should still be throwing out offers to drive the price up if nothing else though.

I love how we always refer to Wilson as the dumpster fire that he most definitely is, UNLESS we're including him in a trade proposals. Then he magically turns into "young talent".

Taking a Korver provides little to nothing for the Bucks. If you want to compete GSW do this.

Bucks: Beal, Knight
Rockets: Bledsoe
Washington: Brogdon, DDV, Maker, Snell, Hou 2019 1st, Mil 2022 1st, their 2020 2nd back from Mil

Knight........ Delly
Beal.......... Pat........Meeks
Middleton... Brown
Giannis...... Ilyasova.. Wilson
Lopez........ Henson... Wood

Oh I’m not a DJ Wilson fan by any means, but Bud has had good things to say and maybe in a system where they can be more patient with his growth, maybe he will have some kind of success. A flier on DJ is a better route than keeping Korver when you’re in a rebuilding state, no?
