Even if the worst is true about Korver’s D I bet he would contribute plenty more than Delly — if only in the sniper playing a few mins off the bench kind of roll Dell Curry played here back in the day.

I get it if we don’t want to trade picks but it’s not like DJ Wilson or Thon are so much to pay for an upgrade like that.

Or do we think this kind of package might get us something better?

How do we think George Hill would look in Bud’s system?

It doesn't look it but we move a lot, if cyborg Giannis looks gassed despite playing 5 mins less than last year I'm not sure I'd like to throw anyone >30 in there, especially not guards.

George Hill running 3 5ish minute runs as a backup pg, giving Brogs a little break could be useful. However, I don't think I want to pay for that

Bucks: Beal, Knight
Rockets: Bledsoe
Washington: Brogdon, DDV, Maker, Snell, Hou 2019 1st, Mil 2022 1st, their 2020 2nd back from Mil

Knight........ Delly
Beal.......... Pat........Meeks
Middleton... Brown
Giannis...... Ilyasova.. Wilson
Lopez........ Henson... Wood

Not going anywhere trotting out those corpses at point guard. Would be the worst PG rotation in the league.

Other than some potential buy low prospects, I'm not sure I want to see any move other than moving Snell's 3 years for any 2 year deal and Meeks taking DDV's spot in the rotation.

The idea of Knight starting at PG again is hilarious

I understand that pg looks ugly with Knight and Delly, but I don't see it as that huge problem when you have Beal, Middleton, Giannis and Lopez. Make this core and everything else can be fixed.

This is a fair offer IMO. Beal costs Bledsoe, Brogdon, DDV, Maker, a 1st and a 2nd (I would try to change Maker with Wilson and save the 2nd). And trading Snell for Knight makes sense to avoid Snell's third year.

Why would you want DDV out of the rotation? And why would you replace him with Meeks? Meeks has been under 35% 3P the last two seasons he was remotely healthy, and only played a combined 39 games the two seasons before last year.

For all of Donte's effort, his jumpshot is not falling and he's very very much a rookie on the defensive end. I have more faith in a vet like Meeks getting his jumper going, especially given how good of looks he's gonna get in this offense.

It's very rare that rookies are a net positive over the course of a season. By the time April comes around maybe he'll have found some rhythm in his jump shot but he needs to refine it for sure, and try to learn to control his over aggressiveness on the defensive end. I still like his potential a lot and you can see the flashes. I'm all in on this year however, so I think if there's a weak link in the rotation it's Donte.

Meeks doesn't necessarily need to get that spot either. I'm more than ok with tightening the rotation up and splitting those minutes amongst Project Pat and Mr. Player Option.

Meeks is on the sad side of 30 and coming off a very bad season. I don't think there's any reason to think he's still on the team other than that his suspension gives us some temporary additional trade flexibility.

I wouldn’t bet on Christian Wood lasting past his guarantee date with the Bucks. He played so bad for the Herd in a way that was the complete antithesis of everything Bud is trying to establish.

You guys still think Nurkic is bad, problematic and inferior to Thon?

Nurkic is problematic and inferior to Thon on offense. Nurkic clogs lanes for our slashers. He is similar to Monroe on that end.

On defense Thon can't box out or rebound at an average level.

Most Bucks fans who are following the Giannis era knows what fits next to him, what not, and where the league-modern NBA goes in terms of 3PAs.

Having said that, comparing Thon and Nurkic is like comparing apples with oranges. It's like choose your poison, or choose what kind of basketball scheme you want to run.

To sum it up ... both have flaws

I saw a link posted by someone in the NetsDaily comments (http://woelfelspressbox.com/2018/11/bucks-looking-to-add-perimeter-shooter/). With Henson out for 3 months, I was wondering if the Bucks would do a Henson+Meeks for Crabbe deal. The benefit for the Nets would be trimming about $8mil in 2019. FOr the Bucks, they'd get a shooter that is healthy.

If none of Thon or Wilson or Wood can make up for Henson’s minutes there should be other options we could pursue pretty cheaply.

Though any pretense of those guys having a semblance of trade value goes out the window if they prove they can’t cut it too.

The Bucks picking up Wilson and Thon’s options indicate we think they are worth more than an ending contract but that’s not saying much.

If you want to see ball movement die, check out Christian Wood.

I’d cut Wood and bring back Zeller with Henson out three months. Wood made more sense if neither were going to play, Zeller makes more sense if we need 10-15 minutes.
