This will be completely worth it just so Bud has the opportunity to run the jumbo lineup:

Giannis
Mirotic
Ersan
Pau
Lopez

Good signing. Obviously nowhere near the player he used to be when he was the best player on the Lakers' championship teams but he can still protect the rim, pass, and he's a 43% three point shooter over the past five seasons. He's not somebody who can give you big minutes and I expect plenty of DNPs, but he should fill the role of backup center nicely when needed. If, god forbid, something happens to Brook then Gasol is playoff eligible.

Raps got Gasol, Horst gets a Mirotic and a Gasol to one up them. 3D chess.

Great news. Milwaukee Bucks a destination team. Whodathunkit? I like 3Cola much better but this is good. How much does 38 year old Pau still have in the tank? I am sure he can still shoot and now we have 3 C's who can hit from range.

When the Bucks newest addition matches up with Aron Baynes, I will say "Look ma, it's Gasol vs Masshole." Also, I will pronounce "Gasol" like "Gas Hole." Feel free to use it, no big deal.

Giannis/Brook/Mirotic insurance. Can hopefully scale them back or rest em as POs approach and still have a competent big out there

We really didn't have any true center besides Lopez, Gasol gives some insurance. Biggest matchup I can see it benefiting us is against the Sixers and Embiid.

Saw a BR instant msg that Pau was bought out while grocery shopping. I thought Bucks should sign him since you can never have too many bigs who can shoot, even if they are 68 yrs old. Sparky sure is happy about Pau signing with Milw.

This is worth a separate thread. He doesn't have much left but I'll take a wiley vet at the end of the bench.

I don't enjoy listening to or watching Pau play and I dont believe he's capable of much more than emergency minutes but experience and depth are always good.

Would be a good signing even if he doesn't play a minute for us.

Eh, I wouldn't get too excited about this one. I don't know if he will be useful and he obviously wasn't doing the Spurs much good. Maybe he can be OK in limited minutes behind Lopez filling the same stretch big role.
