Honestly changed my life.

Ultimately for the better - my relationship with sports is a lot healthier. But I never expect to win, so that's bad.

This.

After that game, nothing will ever shock me.

Seattle game was worse. We gave that away.

Still believe Kawhi took this from us more than we screwed up.

Yep, lots and lots of underrating of Toronto going on. They played a tough series and got a ton out of their role players after the first few.

You guys are old enough to remember the 2011 Super Bowl, right? That immediately disqualifies an NFL game.

Toughest losses in my life are the Badgers in the championship game, game seven last year in the NLCS, and tonight.

Losing game 3 is more devastating than the 26-3 run. We pissed away double digit opportunities to go up 3-0.

Yeah, that’s the one we’ll take to our graves.

No it doesn't. Just because the Packers won a Super Bowl doesn't mean they also haven't had gut wrenching losses that sucked to watch and suck to think about how they blew it now.

Honorable mention to Bucks game 6 @ home during the FTD year.
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

Any Packers related loss before 2010 I've come to peace with after winning a superbowl with Rodgers.

Even my bears angst from my 80s childhood cooled off after the nfc victory in 2010.

Nothing beats the Seattle NFC Championship Game. It changed my outlook on sports. That game had me legit angry and depressed. Now, I refuse to let a sports team comprised of people younger than me to affect my emotions.

This series wasn't as bad because I honestly don't think we were that great. This season wasn't expected. We were outplayed for a majority of it and that means we weren't as good. It's not like Toronto were the Pacers or Magic. We were the two best teams, neck and neck. Their guys showed up, ours didn't. It's not like we choked in one sequence or end of game situation. Not like we got completely robbed by the officials like in 2001.

This. Justice Winslow. Those refs.

I'd say Grayson Allen. We had them on the ropes and he saved them off the bench.

Surely. He came in and won the thing for them - I really believe that. But the Justice Winslow tip out of bounds that the refs refused to review feels more like an injustice I can't get over.

Not that injustice is what the thread is about, necessarily. But it's what hurts worse for me.

I think we should start a thread about Minnesota Viking failures. That would help.

In my pantheon of sports interest, the packers are a distant 4th behind UW football/basketball and the Bucks. Plus I’ve witnessed them win two super bowls in my lifetime, so none of those packers flubs bother me all too much. Sure they sucked at the time, but the don’t haunt me.

Things like...
Losing 3 straight rose bowls
Stave being unable to take a knee properly
Stave missing a wide open abrederis roughly 75 times senior night psu
Jazz peavy “incomplete” vs northwestern
56-0
Big Ten Championship 2 years ago vs osu with playoffs on the line
Going up 3 TDS in the first half vs PSU and losing
Harrison’s 3 pointer in final four
Chorrizo’s 3 pointer in sweet 16
Losing to unc in elite 8
Curry going ballistic in tourney

All still bug me.

3 events though, stand out above the rest:
1. Glenn Robinson’s missed baseline jumper.
2. Hail Mary vs MSU (mainly because I think if we win that game, we were playing for national championship at the end)
3. Second half vs Duke. That broke me. Can’t get myself as invested anymore. Even up to and including this series vs Toronto.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Bogut's fall, too. Lot of sad what ifs attached to that one.

4th and 26 and it isn't even close.

NBA teams go on runs allllll the time. Look at GS vs Portland. They could close a 17 point gap in literally 3 minutes. The Bucks tanked. BUT, they tanked from the moment they left Milwaukee for game 3. The 26-3 run was simply the icing on the **** sundae that everyone with an objective lens knew was absolutely waiting around the corner. Bud, once again, failed to take the necessary measures to stop it. I particularly loved that play drawn up for the Giannis fade away elbow-extended from 20 w Ibaka right in his grill. Great stuff.
