Major moves yes. Tony Snell no. Dumping Snell has been our only offseason move so far. There's a summer league thread for those scrubs we picked up

Last year we didn't though either. The Ersan signing and the Lopez signing just ran in the offseason thread. I went back to try to find those threads the other day unless I missed them

Probably Middleton. Horford will be 37 at the end of that deal.

Is there any indication we are the team?

I have nothing but love for Horford, great player, great career, and still can shoot, rebound, and defend. But I can’t fathom why teams are flirting with him and a four year max. He does everything well, but nothing great. He isnt a guy who gets you crunch time buckets. He is surely dropping off athletically due to natural aging curve, and he was never an elite athlete to start with. Id happily max him for one year. But that deal is going to really hurt in years 3 and 4, maybe even 2.

Just look at the active list by age (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oldest_and_youngest_National_Basketball_Association_players)

There isn't a single big man on there after the age of 34 who is good, if not serviceable (Gortat is the only one).

Not really. Was just curious as to the thoughts of the board.

I think 4/112 is too much for Horford, as much as I'd love to see him here. I'd take him over Lopez if I could make it happen, but I'd look for a 3 year deal at a lower AAV than he's projected to sign for.

If wonder if there's a way we could get Horford, Lopez, AND Brogdon for less than what Middleton is allegedly commanding in this market using some S&T action.

Absolutely none that I'm aware of. It's strange.

I’d give Horford 3-75. Get two really good years out of him and the final year he can be used as an expiring to try and bring in a replacement

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Guys, this is Dallas doing the tampering with Horford.

Think without Horford and Baynes, Celtics would easily take Ersan into cap space. They need him badly. We’d likely get 2nd back.
