Cut it very short. Do it at home with a Wahl trimmer. Focus on saving $20 every time you cut it.
Accept nature. If you can’t have a thick head of hair, focus on not being fat.

Weird to not just go Woman vs Girl there.

Super classy by Osaka to share that moment with Coco. Osaka was as good as she's ever looked tonight. Hopefully we can see this version of her consistently going forward.

I did have it there but it just sounded weird to me. People would know what I meant.

I need to get into watching the women's game more. Lot of young talent up the top.

ESPN is trying too hard to make the Coco Gauff thing happen.

They did the same thing with Strasburg.

I mean, the Coco Gauff thing did happen tho. She's 15 and this kind of thing isn't normal in tennis like it used to be with 15 and 16yr olds winning majors. Nobody had her winning this or Wimbledon but making it as far as she did at both was a big deal.

I really second this. I too worry about going bald more than is decent, but once it goes it goes. I have been trying to stave off the inevitable and the heritable with minoxidil, and thankfully it has been working pretty well so far. I've been encouraged by a few to also take finasteride, but the side effects are too scary for me. I think if I really start showing, the advice others have given about accepting nature and doing away with it is spot on. Also, by way of encouragement, no one (and I mean NO ONE) ever looked bad with a trimmed/shaved head if they have a mosterous set of upper trapezius muscles and had the look of someone who was acquainted with the iron.

That's the thing. She hasn't won a major. Hasn't even made a final. Farthest she's gotten is the 4th round.

Literally addressed this point in the very next sentence.

That is a story. I mean yes of course they’re trying too hard, it’s ESPN, but it is a story and will continue to be as long as she continues to be at the level which she already is and pushing to get further.

Yes it's a story, but now we've reached such stupidity as, "Why first Naomi Osaka-Coco Gauff US Open showdown didn't disappoint".

https://www.espn.com/tennis/story/_/id/27510200/why-first-naomi-osaka-coco-gauff-us-open-showdown-did-not-disappoint

Of course it disappointed, she got trounced.

That was indeed a dumb article.

Did you guys read the article or just the headline? From the actual article:

After all the hype, the tennis itself wasn't all that compelling.

She's American.
She's 15.
She's talented.
She's progressed to the 4th Round at Wimbledon and lost to the eventual champion.
She's in a sport with few recognizable names among the casual fans.

That's a recipe for media interest and media coverage.

I read the article last night. That kind of almost makes it worse.

But as I have already argued, yes, this is a story. ESPN had to come up with something after the match given all they had put into it.

That's a big caveat.

I added a pork butt I'd made a rub and mustard sauce for to the smoker last night around 9:00 and pulled it off around 6:00 am this morning. By itself it was ridiculously good, but I made a sandwich today that almost brought me to tears. Hard top fresh roll, sharp cheddar, Coleman's spicy mustard, horseradish sauce, big heaping pile of chopped pork, and an apple coleslaw. I've had two today and I really want another, but hey, breakfast.

Nadal dropped a set to Cilic (playing great tennis during USO so far, also great in said dropped set), and his response since has been an ass whooping.
