Very happy with this signing. Bucks needed another big body interior defender so Giannis doesn't have to match up vs Horford, which he admitted trashed his back and left him worse for the Raptors series. With Horford/Embiid teaming up in Philly, Bucks needed another option besides hoping Ersan/DJ can handle them. Great signing.

Now, we just need Bucks to sign Joe Johnson from the Big3 league and PP can truly get stoked.

I as well. It was pretty clear that Robin has fallen off quite a bit in the last year or 2. I guess I can’t believe all the excitement over this. This isn’t 2014 Robin Lopez. I’m not even sure he’s going to at all be a competent backup.

You do realize that this exact sort of statement was made last year when we signed Brook, right? Sometimes a change of scenery is all a player needs.

I think it’s just frustration from the fact we are steering away from players that fit Buds system. We desperately need shooters with Brogdon, Mirotic, and likely Ersan gone. It’s a legit concern.

I was talking to some of my buddies about Bud's "system". I don't think it's rigid, it just expressed itself like it did last year based on context and personnel. Mainly Giannis surrounded by 3-4 shooters which was something we had been clamoring for for a couple of years on this board. It was let it fly after years of Kidd drilling into their heads not to, but we saw how much we lived and died by the three last year, but dominated most of the other aspects of the game. I could see us reeling it back a bit, and improving our results. Bud came up in the Spurs when Duncan dominated the league, and the Hawks were led by Horford when Bud was there. I think Bud is flexible and smart enough to implement an offense that utilizes talent rather than just threes. I say this as one of the big Mirotic fans, he would look really good on this team right now. Wonder if we could still convince him to stay...

I say you still go after him. Make a deal to clear space. I am not sure what he's worth but my guess is his value went up a fair amount. We really do need to go get a guy like this. We have a couple of assets.

I’m just tired of people acting like Sterling Brown didn’t look like a legit rotation player for the 2nd half of the season. He got exposed in the playoffs a bit, but that was against a legit Boston defense.

There a difference between having a starting SG and Brown playing rotational minutes and having to rely on Brown/DDV for 48 minutes. No one is hating on Brown getting 20 min a game. Its when it is 30+ that it is really worrisome. Hopefully something else falls into place.
