Lavar Ball isn't Lavar Ball because he gets too excited at his sons' basketball games.

I think there’s a lot of people here who if they were at their respective son/daughter’s sporting event and saw an opposing player’s parent do this after their child got dunked on, probably wouldn’t react by saying “oh wow, what a great parent! He just loves his kids so much, that’s so cool!”

This response is funny. But as long as we can all agree, his baseball career break, was really his suspension for gambling on basketball games.

Did you ever consider that it doesn't matter at all? Anybody who's going to get mad at a parent CELEBRATING is an ****, point blank. Negative parents yelling at coaches, yelling at refs, talking **** to other players -- these are the problem.

The only really negative is him being on the court. That is not a precedent you want to set even if it was just having run. Too many crazy parents you don't want on the court for fear of violence.

Agreed that being on the court is a safety issue.

Lebron's action, to me come off corny and weird. But I am no way condemning them. My nephews play AAU baseball and parents bicker, fight, politic year round. They swear at umpires, other teams and it makes it possibly the worst experience ever. Lebron is probably trying to be cool AND embarrass himself/son.

Yes he looks like a weird and is corny, but it could be far far worse.

Seriously. LeBron could have slipped after he lost a shoe and torn his ACL.

Hmpf, you know we have a good team and a top 3 player in the league when we have time to debate how cheering TOO MUCH for your child is a problem. Life as a Bucks fan is good.

Side note; I coached competitive youth soccer many years ago and a ****, obnoxious screaming parent is absolutely soul crushing to kids. Don't be that guy.

I was a baseball ump for years. I'd take a wildly cheering parent over the dickheads any day of the week.

To me it's cool to see Lebron taking joy in his kids activities but also think he reacts that way because he knows cameras will be on him.

So much conjecture and criticism for a guy just celebrating his kid/kid's team.

I mean, being on court is a bit excessive even for an AAU game, but man what an incredible overreaction to this "situation".

Wasn't he only on the court (at least that excessively) because his shoe came off? What a dumb controversy.

Lebron is definitely extra and calculated, but people talk about his humanity with the type of venom that should be reserved for the people they don’t want discussed here in basketball playtime land.

Eh, I roll my eyes at a lot of the "fake humble" stuff Lebron does and how he's always thinking in PR-mode 24/7, but this isn't one of those things. Unless the other parents are really taking issue with it, whatever.

Would those people happen to be mentioned in the same discussion as Zoroaster and *checks notes on obscure people* Eugene Debs?

I'm not paying attention to this at all but how does a shoe fly onto the court? Did he throw it at a ref?

Just by the nature of how Lebron became Lebron I don’t this we’ve ever seen a glimpse at his real personality however the guy is pretty cringe and something like this doesn’t surprise me tbh. He seems super lame in real life and he does extra **** like this all the time.

The guy behaves this way because since he was a young teenager all he heard is how special he is and how he will be the next MJ. Too many people gave him free stuff (cars, money, etc) and were kiss asses. You start to believe everything they say is true and then ultimately can do no wrong in his own eyes. Getting coaches fired, disrespecting people, being a sideshow at his kids games....all show a lack of self-awareness and a man who will crave the spotlight until the day he dies.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.
