Korver trailing in transition with teams hustling back to wall off Giannis...

I already sense Korver is going to be Giannis fav target. them working out this offseason together is going to be good for that pairing

I don't think Korver will play all that much but maybe Donte and co. pick up quickly how to get open by watching Korver move just like Shamet did with Reddick.

I bet Korver does get PT. 15-20 mpg easy.

Its astonishing what this roster looks like compared to 3 years ago. I've said it 100 times, but I'll say it again: **** you Hammond.
"lol Bucks fans saying the bucks are getting fouled every possession. Are you guys watching Giannis? He literally fouls on every drive."

I think they are as good as any players tbh. Giannis hit a ton of jumpers while Embiid backed off him which I think skewed how well he did against him. Their paint battles were pretty even to me.

As you stated, Embiid backed off Giannis. And the next season will show that you can't sagg off Giannis like Philly attempted to cause he'll drain jumpers at you on a clip you're not comfortable with. So no, unless Embiid is willing to defend Giannis on the perimeter he will not be able to defend Giannis. Horford was kinda capable but he simply couldn't take the beating inside at some point. And one more year of mileage and Giannis developing may matter, too.

We’re going to have four, possibly five (if Brook makes the team) guys coming off whirlwind national team duty that’ll take them around the world in a month and a half, bumping right up against the start of training camp. I’d hope Bud goes deep into the bench early on to allow for plenty of rest for the FIBA returnees. Let the rotation shake itself out when it really matters.

Agree, and I hope Giannis takes lots of games off in the RS. I'm still not convinved Kawhi is the better player, but he did have a specific goal on his mind and managed himself towards it. Giannis had the MVP thing and that's done now. Who cares about early results, and the home court "advantage" made **** all difference.

I can easily see him getting 15, 20 won't be hard either. I think 200 to Reynolds and Thanasis is generous unless we're really blowing the **** out of everyone.

Giannis will need to prove it before that happens. I think Embiid will be able to do it at certain moments. Agree on Horford.

Tim Frazier basically got that in two games so you never know.

Thinking about whether the Bucks could / would make a play for Beal.

Andrew Sharp: If the Wizards should trade Bradley Beal, and I think they should eventually, it would be insane for them to try and use Beal to dump John Wall elsewhere. And it's my understanding that they don't want to do that, but we'll see how long that last.

Sharp: Well, I would have been open to moving him this summer just to get out in front of what feels inevitable. But trade him as soon as you can while the rest of the league seems to think that the title in 2020 is up for grabs and the picks I would be seeking are like a couple years down the line. And honestly we have this window right now where there are 10 teams that think they can win the title, and see if you can exploit that somehow, and see if you can get a couple of those picks in the 2020s because half the league has apparently stopped valuing those first-round picks.

Sharp: And so we'll see how that shakes out over the next 12 months, but I definitely think just in general league wide, even beyond my little Wizards sphere here in D.C., Beal is kind of a big wildcard and maybe the next domino to fall as we forecast where the NBA is headed, and then the Wizards can turn around and address Wall. And we'll see how that ends as well.

For us to trade for Beal, they (or some third team) would either have to value Bledsoe or Middleton. DJ/DDV/IND 1ST/2 MKE 1STs just doesn't get it done unless DJ or Donte explode. And then it depends on how much we have to add and how likely it is that Beal resigns.

Totally possible the Bucks just don't have enough asset value to beat out other offers.

On the flipside, I'm not sure if Milwaukee would be interested in dealing so many future firsts, especially considering how much it'd decimate us if Giannis were to leave.

Then again that's also why the picks years from now would be so valuable.

That same kind of calculus went into the Clippers, Lakers and Rockets maximizing their draft equity to win now no matter the consequences years down the road.

But they were in different positions than Milwaukee. And of course Washington's front office isn't run by David Griffin or Sam Presti.

One thing is for sure: Beal has all the incentive in the world to have a monster season.

If he makes an All NBA team his potential super max deal gets crazy.

Jesus, imagine having Beal on a super max...

It would be classic Wiz to have him and Wall locked in long term on the two worst contracts in the NBA.

That is also why he won't sign an extension. Even if he regresses or gets injured he's probably going to get max offers in 2021. So he's certainly going to wait till 2020, by which I think Washington gets too nervous to keep him (unless they can pay him the supermax). Beal will most likely hit the market between now and next off-season so we should find ways to maximize our trade assets.

There is nothing wrong with having last year's Beal on a supermax.

I would pay him the supermax if I was the Bucks. Not if I'm Washington.
