Also, bummer about TinyPic. Everybody needs new avatar hosting.

Livingston is the all timer of “failed preps to pro lotto pick who reinvented himself and became an elite role player.”

He was developing into a decent player before he was injured.

Pretty shocked that Fultz had his option picked up. That's an expensive 15th man.

Fultz will hang around the league so long as he’s perceived to have star potential. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when he hits FA for the first time.

Think if you're a team taking the chance on him, seeing him through his rookie deal is the only way it really makes sense.

Reminder that the NBA changes FAST. Two years ago Fultz was the top pick. In two more years he could be back on top again.

Would be very surprising if that happened. Fultz is likely done. He might be able to carve out a career as a role player but I’d be shocked if he ever became a significant needle mover.

That is why I didn't like the trade for Orlando.

Orlando seems a rough fit for a guard with shooting issues given they are a John Hammonds special with spacing issues in the front court. That and I can't think of a golfer who had the yips and got past it without a wacky technique change that I can't relate to a jumpshot. I do love the kid's game otherwise tho. Good luck to him.

I think wacky technique unchange is what he really needs. It seemed like he had a medical issue complicated by bad advice from semi-professional basketball people--not so much the yips from my perspective. Orlando was the right kind of team to take a chance on him, what with the Hambone Special capped out at 42 wins (success!) corner they've crammed themselves into.

Orlando is going to surprise this year. They were REALLY good down the stretch last season.

The Fultz thing feels like Portland picking up Odens deal when he was done. It's just so hard to let a #1 go when he is 22/23 and you don't have enough upside to get to where you want to go but aren't going to have a high pick for a long time.

Does Iman Shumpert think he can get a big payday? I wouldn't mind him, but he refused the Rockets offer, which I assume was not less than he made last year.

Orlando wasn't going to turn down his option after trading for him.

Feel like Orlando has a lot of options for a Chris Paul offer. Paul makes the Magic better.

Might make them too good. Not a place where Hammond wants to be.

They were good down the stretch AND they were fighting for a playoff spot while many teams were tanking or resting. They have some pieces but I wouldn't base too much on too small a slice, you might end up eating the mudpie.

Yea - it's a top 5 show for me all time. It was extra fun for me because my wife was born in the Soviet Union and I have spent time in Russia. She is super anti communist so it was fun for me to be pro KGB while she was pro FBI.
