No way. That franchise has no hope with the current ownership.

Yeah they finally boot Grunfeld but bring in Thorn. Maybe Sheppard is a decent GM

He's trying to sell the present value of his contract to investors online.

Ex: If he's owed $34mm over four years, he'd offer those future cash flow streams to someone in exchange for say $28 million upfront today. (Hypothetical, as we don't know the numbers). For someone to do this, they'd either need all the money now for some reason, or believe they could invest it for a greater return than what they'd have sold the future interest off for.

I'm sure the league isn't a fan because some players might blow the lump sum payment and go broke before their contract was up.

He's essentially calling a late night phone number for JG Wentworth "Need Cash Now. Do you have a Structured Settlement?"

Don't think the league lets him get away with it. Sets a terrible "Pay Day Loan" type precedent.

It's got to have something to do with Space Jam 2.

Huge lebron fan, but he is WAY OFF BASE with his comments. In his statement he starts off saying morey is misinformed on the situation.... No, lebron is misinformed. The NBA has been taking one on this topic from china and lebron just added to that.

Could be. AMC is Chinese-owned; I assume they could shut down any movie by saying they won't show it.

I thought it was fait accompli Lebron was the GOAT after the title in Cleveland, but man he is trying his hardest to give it back.

Considering the Lakers were in China while all of this was going on, I think he was pretty clearly referring to the Lakers there.

Yeah, I know and I hope you're right, but that's still my POV here. And I'm cool with LeBron fwiw.

Not for the price Washington is asking for. They want a Kings ransom but Miami can wait until Beal demands a trade or just trade spare parts to take on the salary of CP3 or Lowry if they want to win now.

Washington is demanding Herro, Bam, Winslow, and picks. Just no way that happens.

Every time he does a Mikan drill, an angel trips and falls into the George Mikan topiary.

It would be really cool if Gasol and Conley win championships back to back years after leaving Memphis. (if we aren't in the finals of course) If Conley has one more all-star caliber season in him, the Jazz are going to be crazy good.

Their bench is a bit of a wild card, but I like Mudiay and Royce and Davis. Exum and Green as your 9th and 10th guys aren't awful.

Is that a big loss for them? I know he played a decent amount but how much are they relying on a 34-year old who was borderline out of the league?

Their owner really doesn’t want to pay the tax and they don’t have much flexibility. You are right Green shouldn’t matter.

If the Rockets get too shallow on depth I wonder if they would consider a Ersan + Brown + Bender package for Gordon.
