Yeah that reminded me of Giannis. Most impressive for me though was the play starting at 1:40 where he defended 3 players in a possession and should have come up with a steal if his teammate wasn't asleep.

I've been tricked by other international prospects but I'm still confident that Ntilikina would look very good on a team with an actual NBA coach.

Wondering if Beal taking that deal had any relation to a potential decline in BRI from China money. I had thought the contract amounts could be scale up or down to account for drops or increases in BRI, but might be wrong on that.

Likely a good deal for both sides. Beal gets his money without crippling that franchise with a potential super-max and it's not like he's gonna prevent them from getting a high draft pick.

On Bill Simmon's pod yesterday he was ruminating that somehow the Celtics could get Beal for Jaylen Brown and picks, and then be a contender once again.

Such a shame.

Yeah, I guess I meant further crippling that franchise with another super-max...

I can only listen to Guess the Lines with Cousin Sal these days. There was a span where he kept having his daughter on, and the women on one of the Rewatchables pods just kept talking about how good looking some of the actors were. Like listening to a Tiger Beat pod.

Plus by interviewing too many celebrities and high profile NBA guys, I think he's reached a point where he's pulling punches because he doesn't want to offend some people.

He actually thought they could get him without giving up Brown since they have some picks.

I don't feel as strongly about Frank as Luessi but I would be pretty excited if we could get him on the [relatively] cheap.

What am I missing with the Buddy Hield thing? He's an RFA. He can threaten and posture all he wants but if the Kings want to keep him there's nothing he can really do about that. Is he really gonna take the QO just to spite them?

"If they don't feel like I'm part of this core...", he says, turning down $22.5M per season.

He wanted $110 over 4 - $27.5M per season.

I'm not familiar with the Kings' cap situation, but I'm guessing the Harrison Barnes contract hurts and they are trying to ensure they have the felxibility needed to retain Fox and Bagley Jr without hitting lux.

Correct, but he's (hinting at) threatening to demand a trade. And I don't recall that ever really ending well for a team, despite leverage.

I'm 100% for players getting as much money as they can, but can you imagine being 'insulted' by your company offering 22.5m instead of 27.5m? That is f*** awesome.

Meanwhile we all gotta put a smile on because we got a company-branded water bottle with our names on it for Christmas instead of a raise.

Not to put some of this on Khris Middleton and Tobias Harris, but there are going to be a ton of players close to the same zip code as those two, thinking they should get commensurate deals.

$30mm+ a year is the new $20mm+ a year.

*Checks Kings cap sheet*

*Sees that they're paying Barnes, Dedmon, and Cory Joseph nearly $50 million combined next season*

But hey, let's cheap out on our 2nd best player. And this is why the Kings are still the Kings.

He would be damn near 30 after his QO season.
