You've got to remember the context of the Hawks getting 4 all stars. It was all the games they were winning, but it wasn't just that. First, the 4th was an injury replacement. Second, the East was historically barren. Almost nobody was knocking on the door -- the big "snubs" were Rose and Vucevic. 34 year old Pau started. Around here we thought Brandon Knight could make it. Brandon Knight!

It's a very different environment in the East this year. There's a cluster of very good teams with multiple deserving all-stars. I think Middleton gets in but there's definitely a squeeze.

He actually deserves it this year. He has been playing very well and is mostly engaged. There is more competition for his spot this year though. I wouldn't be surprised if Bledsoe gets in as a Giannis buddy....kinda like Khris last year.

Middleton will make it. The question is if we do get Bledsoe. This year the east is loaded. Trae Young is putting up 29/8 and I doubt he makes it.

His team sucks. 29/8 is the old 22/6 and that never got big dog on the team until we started winning

You could make an exception for both Beal and Trae and Khris would still be a lock. If Boston gets both Tatum and Brown in there it will just go to show you how much nauseating Boston bias still infests the NBA.

Not sure about big dog but Trae is third in PPG. Like I get his team sucks and that's why I don't think he'll make it but when did someone third in PPG not make an all star team.

Off the top of my head, Mike Redd didn't get in when he was 4th.

Trae is developing into a fine player. But putting up good numbers on a **** team does not/should not make you an all star. One day perhaps.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Putting up big numbers in today’s NBA should be assumed when you’re given offensive primacy. Like most every dude in the nba is skilled enough to throw up numbers of some kind if you give them the ball. Obviously varying degrees of efficiency, but being able to actually make your team win games matters.

They've been trying to make the ASG more competitive; maybe if they rewarded offense and defense that would help? Bledsoe should be in. They have to find a way IMO. Khris should be in too, although I think Bledsoe should have been in ahead of him last year.

You know what though? I honestly wouldn't be that mad if neither one gets in, just because the Bucks are basically Giannis and a bunch of guys who are, were, or will be top-30 to 50 players. So if it's about rewarding team success, then they should get all 3. But if it's really about the 12 best performers in each conference, one could make a case for a number of other options, even though it would be annoying to change the paradigm in the one year the Bucks have 3 deserving candidates.

Put it this way: if everyone gets their share of credit for the team's success, it's an unusually even distribution behind Giannis. It's definitely plausible that there are 11 other guys who have added more wins to their team than any other individual on the Bucks.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Speaking of this I got a reply back from Basketball Reference that hey can certainly add this to his nickname list. Actually it was Kha$h Money.

As long as they don't remove WD-40 and Baby Joe Johnson! Those are just too random and too funny to eliminate.
I may or may not have told them no one has ever used those nicknames. They did say that they would add that nickname and didn't say anything about removing those others.

I was wrong. Very, very wrong. I got down on Kha$h after the ECFs and thought the Bucks might want to choose Brogdon over him.

This efficiency on this usage is exceptional. This Middleton is a legitimate multiyear All-Star.
