Maybe Suki shared and Nehm talked about something the Bucks preferred they hadn't and that's where they cut it off. It's no secret that she pushes the envelope. How is less known.

Somewhat related to Nehm - Kane Pitman is doing a really nice job with Locked on Bucks. He's steadily improved since the year began, and I think he's better at hosting the podcast than Nehm was. I like Eric, and he has/had a good amount of insight and access, but Kane already has (and is continuing to develop) better podcast rapport with Frank, and I think he has better instincts for how and when to push his own reads. He's less comfortable flying solo than Nehm, and can struggle with topic transitions, but overall I continue to be impressed with him.

Side note: I love Frank, but he needs to lay off the words "remarkable" and "ironic."

There will be a definite thinning of the herd with the sports talkers in the coming weeks/months.

This definitely shows how useless most of these ESPN sports talkers and shows are. They're better off showing old/classic games and showing behind the scenes footage from these games/series.

Feel sorry for all these guys. That said, my job is still here but at risk in months to come if this doesn’t clear. So many in the same boat.

That said, the sports radio and even podcast market here was over saturated pre Covid-19. It was an industry headed for a shakeout.

Going to make that bracket they were running a little awkward.

The overload of sports radio in Milwaukee couldn't have had worse timing. Yeah, it's cool that we have three MVPs in the state and that those teams are competitive. But anyone with a brain knew that this market couldn't sustain 14 million sports stations. Even without a pause in literally all sporting events.

Also, while I think all the local sports talkers are pretty bad, at least none of them are as bad as Doug Gottlieb. So there's that.

Yep.

We had a unique confluence of MVP’s and competitive Packers, Brewers and Bucks with long playoff runs. Then the economy was so hot that people could buy new Hyundai cars and Pella Windows, so these places had advertisers.

But those hot conditions meant employment for a lot of guys who probably don’t make the cut in different eras of local radio.

I am curious if Czaban has a one year contract or if they’ll dump him for a cost cutting move and put Chuck Freimund in that slot now.

Can you or someone else post who ended up where (as to shows and time) and then who definitively got released?

Didn't listen to any of the stations the past few day. Assuming Bart Winkler now going solo.

97.3 The Game weekday local shows currently as far as I can tell-

6am-9am
The Steve Czaban Show
With Josh Albrecht and Eric Gitter

9am-Noon
Nine 2 Noon
Tim Scott, Scott Dolphin, Brian Butch, Eric Gitter
Chuck Freimund is sitting in as a guest at least for this week but is not employed by the station

Noon-3pm
The Crossover
Ted Davis, Armen Saryan, Dario Melendez

3pm-6pm
Drew & K.B.
Drew Olson, Kevin Brandt

I’ll listen to the other stations when I’m feeling like a glutton for punishment and provide an update

94.5 ESPN

7a - 9a: Gabe & Chewy
9a - Noon: Wilde and Tausch
Noon - 1p: Greg Matzek
1p - 3p: Tony Smith & Bryan Dee
3p - 6p: Homer & Gabe
6p - 8p Doug Russell

Not sure on the fan....worst of the 3 stations IMO, So I never listen to them.

97.3>94.5>>>>>>>>>>105.7

Wonder how the pay wall is working for ESPN MKE? I liked their podcast clips but not enough to pay for the content.
