Getting the full 2K treatment with packs and points. Not excellent, but will reserve judgment to see just how NBA2k they made it.

This has some real potential to be a game I fall in love with. If they did both a "story" career-mode similar to FIFA or even NBA 2ks where you could upgrade your player and a non-story more GM mode where the story part was cut out and you just practiced, played and improved through a regular season I'd be stoked.

The music choice was also ****ing amazing, until the 18th time here the same line haha and yes, I know that's basically how the real song is.

FWIW, they've said VC will be spent on cosmetics such as clothes, so no using VC to make your player a golfing god (if there are even ratings to it).

Also in case you were hoping one way or another, you can't play as the pros. They're solely there to be competition.

Pretty as hell but damn. That game does nothing that Ubisoft hasn't been doing for years. Very underwhelmed.

Graphics for PGA 2K look kinda outdated but hopefully it’s fun. Still playing COD Warzone every night.

Excellent news on VC. Personally, neutral on playing as a pro. I'd absolutely make my own golfer - I love career modes where you build your character up - but would have been fun to play as a pro in exhibition. Oh well.

This really snuck-up on me. It comes out Tuesday. I haven't played a Wasteland game before but I've been meaning to for literally years.

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't know the video is a month old. The release has since been pushed - August 28.

My experience with Cities: Skylines (I'm not currently playing, but just watched a cool video and made me think of this)...

Step 1: Watch a cool timelapse video on YouTube of a really good player with all of the expansions building an absolutely amazing city.
Step 2: Get desire to play Cities: Skylines.
Step 3: Open Cities: Skylines.
Step 4: Play for 20m, get frustrated, rage quit.

Same experience. I maybe have an hour and a half of game time on it and I’ve owned it for years. Definitely a game I want to love, but really probably just isn’t for me. Similar experience with a lot of Paradox strategy games; I really want to love Crusader Kings II and Stellaris, but there’s a learning curve there that I just don’t think I can climb to become fully invested.

The optimist in me thinks EA sees how this happened and thinks "Wow, we really gotta get our **** together with this game", but the realist in me thinks EA sees it and is like "Check out how many views we had on YouTube! Let's keep it rolling!"

This is why I'm glad the game gives you the ability to unlock unlimited money. Makes it a much more enjoyable sandbox game IMO. I'd do the same thing for the old Sim City games because the grind of slowly making money through taxes and such was just too much for my casual sensibilities. I just wanna build ****, man.

Now that I bought a PS4 I'm finally getting around to playing The Last of Us, and wow......is there a more depressing video game like, ever?

(it's very good but probably not the best game to play during an actual pandemic)

If you want a depressing story that will make you have an existential nightmare, play SOMA.

Want to buy a Nintendo Switch for my 5 yr old (and so I can play some Mario Cart lol). Anyone know any avenues to find one at a reasonable price?

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Best but would be eBay, craigslist or FB marketplace. Probably lot's of the first edition ones out for sale.

I agree, probably not the best game to play during an actual pandemic- but it truly is an amazing game.
