Hopefully they can finish the season. Obviously with no fans in the arenas. Maybe just go straight to the playoffs and make all series 4-3 instead of 2-2-1-1-1 to minimize travel.

I expect it to get worse before it gets better. The big concern right now is the fans who have been infected at games. COVID-19 shouldn't be debilitating long-term for people as strong and healthy as NBA players. My hope is they wait this out and hopefully in a few months all the players are healthy and they can go back to playing games without any fans.

We have to remember suspended does not mean cancelled. The poster who mentioned locking the standings might be onto something and that was the rumor I heard earlier for absolute “worst case scenario”.

If it got to the point where the season was canceled we’d be worrying about a much more serious crisis on a humanity level than a sporting event.

Gobert and other bigs like him have twice the surface area to distribute the illness from than the average person, and they cover much more ground. Not to mention if they're like Wilt.. NBA players are like their own bio-weapons, so this is the sensible decision.
