The conditioning of the Bucks is terrible and it’s been a problem. Bud likes to play his most important players low minutes to prevent injuries to them. The downside of this is that they never get accustomed to playing big minutes so when big minutes are needed, they don’t perform well down the stretch because they’re exhausted. Below are some shooting stats this season for our two stars (FGM/FGA FG%):
In games playing less than 35 minutes:
Giannis: 711/1263 56.3%
Middleton: 476/969 49.1%
In the 4th quarter and OT of games when playing less than 35 minutes:
Giannis: 135/225 60.0%
Middleton: 86/168 51.2%
In the 4th quarter and OT of games when playing more than 35 minutes:
Giannis: 39/87 44.8%
Middleton: 33/74 44.6%

Isn't it just as possible they play more in games where we're/they're struggling? I did not see them noticeably winded or anything last night.

I didn't notice them winded either but the signs are there with consistently poor performances late in games when they play heavy minutes. Last night, Giannis and Middleton played 37 minutes. They combined for 15/26 in the first three quarters and went 3/10 in the 4th quarter.

Don't trust Bud/Giannis/Midds to dig themselves out of an 0-2 hole so this is the most important game of their careers.
Expect we'll defend the paint more and see a few more glorious open threes.

I don't trust
anybody to climb out of an 0-2 hole.
Hopefully Bled is back.

If Bled isn't back I think it's a wrap imho. We don't have enough POA defense or ball handling to handle this series without him. Even if he's back but compromised with the hamstring we're in some real trouble.
Also the MVP needs to actually show up and Bud needs to not sniff paint before the game.

If Bled is out, we are done. I really believe that.

That was actually "softball". I assume you guys call it "fat baseball" or something like that.

It's time Giannis. If there ever was an extra gear, this is where you activate it. Gotta show that greatness. Max 20 games left. Bud needs to let him loose.

Yes of course, I'm humming the song now. I forget softball exists frequently.

Feeling a loss leading into a gentlemen's sweep right now. I have no faith at all in the Bud to solve this.

I won't feel totally out of it unless we fall behind 3-0 honestly. Would much rather be tied 1-1 than down 0-2 though.

IMO it's a major must-win. This is where Gianni has to dominate. If Butler is still cooking second half, guard him and force him into tough shots or to pass. Tired of seeing the free-safety Gianni. If I'm MVP and DPOY I'm telling the others GTFO the way I got him.
