It'll come at some point but people have been saying that for years.

I think it would be more gradual in any case. His athleticism will degrade but the insane BBIQ, passing, vision and his shooting aren't going anywhere.

Gasol looked cooked in the bubble and especially in the playoffs, not super concerned about that pickup honestly. Non zero chance he’s just totally done by this next postseason.

Also Baynes/Boucher isn’t getting it done, good backup plan by Masai but they’re not one of the East elites anymore IMO. It’s Miami/Brooklyn/Boston and probably Philly as our competition.

Gun to my head, Brooklyn wins the East.

Gasol is lumbering and slow and can't do anything defensively on the perimeter but he is way better than McGee/Howard...

Curious to see how everyone gels. That's a lot of turnover for a championship team. LeBron/AD/Carus/KCP/Kuzma are the only ones returning who played significant minutes I think.

But on paper, this might be the most talented team LeBron has ever been on

Lakers going to repeat. Sure makes it fun when you know the champion before the season starts

I wanted Baynes, oh well, at least Giannis can still dunk on him.

Ahhh there goes Baynes. We really needed an Aussie on the squad.

As far as I'm concerned all this movement around the league and the east specifically doesn't matter if Giannis learned how to make a free throw and mid-range shot. IMO it doesn't much matter what everyone else looks like, our title hopes hinge on those two things.

I’d put the 12/13 Heat and 17 Cavs ahead. That 17 Cavs team he played on is particularly underrated because they lost to arguably the greatest team ever. But that was a really good Cavs roster.

2017 Cavs were bad defensively though (ranked 21st). Offense was insane

The only team that truly scares me in the East is Brooklyn if Durant is more or less Durant. Or I guess whichever team trades for Harden if he goes East.

Probably gonna sound like bitter Bucks fan but I really don’t think they Miami beats us with Jrue instead of Bled, and Crowder not there to go Klay Thompson for a series. I think we beat them in a rematch.

Toronto, Philly, Indiana, Boston just don’t have enough.

I think the Lakers kill everyone tbh.

Giannis isn't losing the east this year. He's training with the right guy to goto his next level. Lakers signed Marc because Giannis admitted he gave him nightmares. They want to pickup Wes, toyed around on Bogdanovic. Brought in Kidd last year. They're obsessed with Giannis & the Bucks. Can they beat them? Can they lure Giannis to Hollywood?... It's all there. Would be sweet to finally meet at the end of this year.

How did I miss Marcus Morris getting $64 million the other day? That's almost a 2016 level contract.

Baynes is a damn solid player. Now Toronto shouldn't expect him to fully hit those numbers this year because they really need to play him less than Phoenix did. He was forced into too many minutes with the Ayton suspension and while he was good it seemed to really take a toll on him physically. He's more effective in a 20 minute a night type role.

Honestly could not have been more wrong about the spending this off season. I thought it would be low on the point of collusion yet MLE type guys are getting Michael Redd type deals. It’s nuts.
