Was just about to chime in and say Charlotte seems like a team that would be interested in a Russ trade. That franchise could use some excitement and they can offer Houston massive cap relief in Batum's expiring contract. I think a Westbrook/Graham backcourt would be fun as hell.

I'd guess the deal would be Rozier and Zeller. Saves Houston about 7-8 mil this year and nets them a trade exemption and it would also let them spend the full MLE this fall without hitting the apron. With how thin the rockets are and the little resources they have to fix that this could make some sense for them. As much as I clowned the Rozier signing he actually wasn't that bad last season.

Hornets make sense as a Russ destination for all the reasons I thought they’d be a Chris Paul landing spot.

From an entertainment standpoint, I would love a Simmons/Harden trade. Playing Harden 3-9 times a year would be fun.

Agreed, but there's a little bit of me, that usually get excited about what Giannis worked on over the summer.

He had several months to recuperate, go to Greece, do family stuff, and work or tweak something or add a new dimension.


I feel like with a shorter break we are going to miss out on seeing some new skillset added to his repotoire during a long off season.
