Jokes on you when this is just setting up a re-signing
Actually the joke would be on Robin for giving up $2.5 million for no reason.

The most any team outside of MIL could have offered him was 4/140. Giannis took less than the max to help the team out. Middleton Kashed in, but he wasn't worth more than 5/150.
Then it’s a thing Middleton didn’t receive a max contract. I also believe you are undervaluing Middleton. He honestly should’ve been an ALL-NBA player this season. Which tells you he is worth his salary.
2M less per season than the full max doesn't do a whole lot. It's essentially a max deal. Who on the 3rd team would you swap out with Middleton? Again, I'm not arguing that he's not a great player. I just think he's realistically worth $30M/per.

I remember taking a lot of grief last year for trying to point out that he'd lost it while so many were pining for him. I think he was the only veteran center in the league who was below replacement level, the rest were kids.
I think there was like 20 teams that signed a player with the room exception last year. What was there, maybe 2 successful signings? Ricaun Holmes. Who else?

Considering Midds got more points (82) than both Westbrook (61) and Simmons (56) shows he deserved to be on the 3rd team. The issue is they categorized Butler as a forward when he actually is a SG which would’ve bumped Simmons off the list.

Yeah, so atrocious that every good team would love to trade for him if he was available.
