Actually the joke would be on Robin for giving up $2.5 million for no reason.

Soooo, our team is desperate for shooting and that is our priority in pretty much all the moves we're talking about. Yet we have the league leader in 3p% on the team and a large chunk of people want to get rid of him.

Uh, why would you want Hill gone lol.

Not really all that crazy. 34 years old, can’t really remember the last time he played a good game. January 2020? I was pretty disappointed in his play the second half of the year. Not sure much is left in his tank.

There's been more than once I've seen a player opt out, I call him crazy, and that guy getting more money in a week FA class.

That said, we can replace what he gave us with a smart vet min move. Rather consolidate his money into a more useful player.

We seemed to sign Rolo to match up against Embiid and Sixers signed Al Horford to matchup against Giannis then we didn't play each other in playoffs.

I think it's an incredibly fact-intensive inquiry. By no means should Hill be untouchable just because we are desperate for shooting. It all depends on the deal.

Somebody (Chuck?) mentioned it a day or two ago but if we’re going to trade #24, we should do it before/on draft day. The idea of #24 is much more attractive to a front office as opposed to offering a team Tre Jones a few days after the draft.

I remember taking a lot of grief last year for trying to point out that he'd lost it while so many were pining for him. I think he was the only veteran center in the league who was below replacement level, the rest were kids.

I think there was like 20 teams that signed a player with the room exception last year. What was there, maybe 2 successful signings? Ricaun Holmes. Who else?

The most any team outside of MIL could have offered him was 4/140. Giannis took less than the max to help the team out. Middleton Kashed in, but he wasn't worth more than 5/150.

Then it’s a thing Middleton didn’t receive a max contract. I also believe you are undervaluing Middleton. He honestly should’ve been an ALL-NBA player this season. Which tells you he is worth his salary.

2M less per season than the full max doesn't do a whole lot. It's essentially a max deal. Who on the 3rd team would you swap out with Middleton? Again, I'm not arguing that he's not a great player. I just think he's realistically worth $30M/per.

Considering Midds got more points (82) than both Westbrook (61) and Simmons (56) shows he deserved to be on the 3rd team. The issue is they categorized Butler as a forward when he actually is a SG which would’ve bumped Simmons off the list.

Well to be fair, Butler played the 3 almost exclusively this season...Robinson/Nunn was the starting backcourt.

Bucks get
Blake, Simons + #16

Pistons get
Ariza, Zach Collins, Hood

Blazers
Middleton

Use #16 + #24 for a good wing.

Pistons get hosed, pretty sure they'd rather cut Portland out & get Khris back to continue their Detroit Bucks rebuild.

Also no McCollum or Lillard in a Midds to Portland deal is kind of ridiculous.

*Griffin & Bradley... Trending toward the Milwaukee Pistons. Maybe Giannis completes the transition next year & reunites with Sweeney etc.

Eventually Horst is going to have to really go for it and push all the chips into the middle of the table. I don't know what that is but you can't keep trading first round picks for role players, overpaying players, trading more firsts to get rid of overpaid players.
