I may like Mann more than most. Good size and shooting mechanics. Not the most explosive but more of a smooth athlete. Think there's a lot of room to improve on his skill set, and he's still a pretty young sophomore (won't turn 21 until February next year). Kind of gives me some SGA vibes.

So, has Suggs officially made it a debate over who you take #1 overall? I don't usually let tourney performance affect my analysis too much, but it's hard for me to watch him and not see how he isn't an efficient 25+ scorer and dynamic play-maker with the kind of finishes that he was making. Pretty rare to be that NBA-ready both physically and skill-wise at 19 years old.

Has there ever been an easier to call pick than the Orlando Magic picking early in the lottery with John Hammond as GM and picking Scottie Barnes? Though this is actually going to be a good pick.

Think he's basically Patty Mills. Don't see how he isn't a late first if he comes out.

I think he will be late lotto after athletic testing unless he’s shorter than I think he is. Love to get him

His arms are short, but I think he's 6'3 with shoes. I have him going around 20 - 25.

Was hoping Mathurin would come out and possibly fall to our 2nd round pick. I still really want Cam Thomas from LSU but he could go late 1st.

Tremendous fundamentals for his age. I think he goes higher than the mocks have him - top 20.

I'm not a Cam Thomas fan - seems like too much of a chucker.

Here's a good solid (but not spectacular) 2nd round 3 and D prospect:

Yeah, love his size, coordination, aggressiveness, too. Would trade up for him frankly. If he looks like this at 18, you could imagine him being a big dude eventually. He's going to list at 6-10 in the NBA, and that's if he's done growing.

Dunno if you guys have looked at Josh Giddey from us, but I just read an Australian Scouting report that simultaneously described him as unathletic vs NBA players and then compared him to Turner/Rubio...

It goes without saying he should try and be like Joe.

His shot is like early Jason Kidd level, but he's a real PG unlike Turner, he's just tall. Think he'd be a great fit next to Jrue in spite of the shooting. I am always looking for guys who can run offense and see the floor.

The Bucks currently have Houston’s 2nd round pick, which is 31 overall.

One more loss clinches it (4 fewer wins than Detroit with 4 games to play).

Just wish we could see him against quality opposition - to see if his skills translate and if he's quick enough to excel in the NBA. His shot has dramatically improved during the season. A gifted natural passer.

Should we settle for Joel Ayayi - combo guard and winner who does everything well but doesn't really excel at anything? Good size if he plays the point.

It's odd to me that we never apply this competition caveat to NCAA players when that's clearly the worst level of competition guys get drafted out of, other than the guys who don't compete at all and take a gap year to train and maybe China, where there's no defense. IMO the NBL is not that different from many of the domestic leagues.

Not even saying you disagree with any of this, and obviously it'd be better if he were doing what he's doing now in Euroleague. I just think if we had a 6-8 freshman in the NCAA doing what he's doing, we'd be all over him, and I think he'd have done a lot better than that.
