The Nets just acquired an MVP candidate to go with another MVP candidate on top of another star. They just put together the blueprint to win in the NBA. Maybe they don't put it together year one like the Lakers did but they sure as hell have a better outlook then when they had Caris LeVert and some picks.

Blueprint of how to ruin an organization maybe. They won't be good, that defense is awful. The Bucks match up perfect with them. I have zero fear of them.

Compare them to the Lakers all you want, one has Lebron and a non-headache superstar. I see a little bit of karma in the Nets future
Giannis did not go to your team :naaa:

Caris LeVert and the picks we gave up to get Jrue Holiday, not an MVP candidate, is going to ruin their organization? Lol.

As I said after the Lakers traded for AD, if their future is doomed after this trade they were in a hell of a lot worse shape before.

Harden showed that for his best he requires most of a teams shots night after night. Everytime he waited for Westbrook or CP3 or whoever else to get some offense he was left there watching doing nothing and when he got the ball back he was suddenly cold and couldn't hit his step back 3s anymore.

It will be an endless ISO feast between them with major problems on defense and zero regard for any coach help if you can get any from Nash anyway. No bench help either.

Cavs did real well to get Allen with our 2022 first-round pick. Nice job

Perennial all-nba first teamers aren't the same as 37 year old Kevin Garnett.

If that's what they had given up, then sure, but it isn't. Why are you leaving so much out? The Nets gave up 3 unprotected picks, not 2, 4 pick swaps, not 2, plus not only Levert, but also Rodions Kurucs and Jarret Allen. Allen is a fairly big piece. The Nets are unprotected in 7 straight drafts, starting immediately. This is nothing like the AD or Jrue deals.

I couldn't disagree more, I can't watch enough basketball to escape from this disaster of a world surrounding us. Fans are cool, but it's the product and results on the court that ultimately matter.

If anything this makes me appreciate sports, and basketball, that much more

You're right, Harden will probably be 300 pounds and founding a city consisting solely of strip clubs with the money some team is dumb enough to pay him when he's 37. And it'll probably be the Nets. And they'll still owe a few picks for him.

I'm sure Kyrie's skills and professionalism will keep those picks from being high lotto picks though.

Only had a chance to skim the tweets going over cap situation stuff but if they truly have two 5+ mil exceptions available to them that’s just insane. they’re going to get the absolute best buyout guys when they’re available. Depending on who’s available they can patch together enough of a 4/5 rotation. If Kyrie doesn’t up and retire they could rip through the East honestly

At least Philly didn’t get him lol, Nets fans are way less toxic

I agree with you from am asset management standpoint but the potential time bomb of personalities is not even close to lebron and ad.

They gave up a lot more for a perennial all-nba first teamer then we did for Jrue, yes. Comparatively I'd say they gave up less than the Lakers did for AD, maybe significantly when the dust settles.

Fit was much better for LA. Plus they had bigs.

I'll believe the Nets are going to win something when it happens.

I agree they're better for sure though.
