4 months into Google stadia and its great. You do need a good wifi signal, but the 4k output is great, no noticeable latency issues and the load times are great.

Downside is lack of games, but my boys are covered with fifa, madden and 2k21.

I bought fifa on my phone, and literally within 1 minute, the game was ready to play on my TV..
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

I really, REALLY, love Outriders. 3rd person shooters have never really been my thing, but this is already shaping up to be my #2 looter-shooter. It kicks Destiny's ass.

I did the Trickster path and it’s so much fun teleporting around and slowing down time to vaporize dudes. Now I just need the servers to stabilize

I just don't get what I didn't get about Outriders. Glad y'all are enjoying it - maybe I'll need to revisit down the line and force myself past the rough demo/intro.

What class did you run in the demo? I initially completed it with the Pyro, and subsequently tried to farm the captain for a legendary but found the task near impossible (maybe I suck?) so I quit. I decided to run a Trickster instead and found the game far more enjoyable.

I went with Technomancer, I think it was called. It was less so about the combat or class (though I thought it felt a bit uninspired), but it felt like I was playing a game from like 2014. The level design was terrible IMO, the graphics - or at least the textures - were really bland, and everything related to the story/dialogue/voice acting was nauseating. And I know that last one isn't a strength of ARPGs/looters, but some do it quite well (thinking Borderlands, PoE).

I've tried the tank class, the Pyromancer class, and the Trickster, and the Trickster was pretty easily my favorite. The others had their nice qualities, but I think the Trickster is the most fun and especially most useful for running solo. The warp ability is so useful for quick hitters against bosses and better enemies. Warp in, slow time, blast away, then run like hell.

Progressing in Outriders is kind of interesting. You have your base level, and then you have World Tiers with their own levels. Higher world tiers, tougher enemies, but better rewards. The rub is your base level rises the same whether you're at World Tier 1 or World Tier 7. I was looking at Youtube videos with guys at level 30, but only on World Tier 9. I'm at level 17 and World Tier 7. I would say the game is difficult at bosses and sub bosses, requiring multiple attempts, and I do a lot of hiding a luring.

So I checked out some videos and learned a couple things. When you die, your world Tier reverts to where you were prior to your last attempt, even if your level went up. You're not progressing the World Tier if you're dying, you're really just wasting time. Another thing I learned is unless you're at the end-game and you're high leveled, you really shouldn't be playing anything higher than Tier 5. You should be doing major damage and not really sweating bosses. Low levels mean low base stats means low level abilities, if you have them at all.

I've only been playing a few days so it's not like I wasted that much time, but I'm glad I have a better understanding of the game. I'm gonna play on WT four or five, blow through the campaign, level up, and worry about gear and higher level tiers at the end-game.

Switch is great handheld for truly on the go or sitting in bed or whatever, but when I'm on the couch I don't really care to stare at a tiny screen.

So when non-Monster Hunting on the big screen this week, I've been revisiting Last Epoch as it's been a couple months and some small patches and new skills since I last played. And man, this game really just keeps getting better. This is already a solid-to-good ARPG, and it is absolutely going to be a great-to-incredible one. I'm playing a mage for the first time in about a year I think, and the skill effects have all been completely redone and look wonderful. Feel great too, including some new ones. I made a fire nova build I am loving, but I discovered one of the new skills is a fire-based frozen orb-type skill basically (D2)...and one of the modifiers lets you convert to cold. So you can make an fOrb build. I can't wait to do that, both in Last Epoch and when D2 remaster comes out.

I feel terrible. I have all these new games to play that will push my laptop and what have I've been playing? My wife and 3 kids pressured me into playing Minecraft, which I never touched, but now that's all I play.

I’m sure I would have fun with Outriders playing it with my few friends that bought it, but ultimately I just don’t think I have the bandwidth for new games right now and I never can great a great amount of time out of looter shooters personally. The most fun I’ve ever had with one was The Division 2, mainly because it’s such an accurate recreation of the city I live in but even that could only hold my attention for maybe a month after I hit the end game.

I've never played it. Are the goals or NPCs? I'm not great in games like Dragon Quest Builders II when it comes to just being able to freely make whatever I think of, but if there are goals or blueprints or NPCs to tell me what to do then I love it.

You build whatever you want but there are blueprints to build certain equipment you absolutely need (like enchanting table) to upgrade your gear in order to kill the Ender dragon. The game is like one big fetch quest but my kids/wife love it so I tolerate it. I enjoy the pvp but there isn't any skills or abilities. Just tiers of gear/weapons and enchantments for those that make them do/take less damage and other things like less fall dmg, fire protection, water breathing and other extremely basic rpg stuff.

Cool, thanks. I'll check it out when I get sick of Outriders.

Finished the main campaign for Outriders. Very, very impressed overall. The standard enemies didn't change much at all over the course of the game, and that was disappointing, but the sub-bosses and bosses provided a nice challenge and most did some cool weird things.

MiG, I definitely can see how you would get a PS3 vibe or something from it. The graphics are pretty bland, most of the environments are ugly, and the mission structure is almost always the same. That said the weapons are great, there's a pretty huge amount of skills, abilities, and weapon mods. If you're a member of the MAKE THE NUMBERS GO UP crowd like I am, it's always a kick when you ditch a gun you've used for hours for a new weapon that's hilariously more powerful.

I finished the campaign at level 28 and the cap is 30. I'm gonna hit that first, go back and farm level appropriate gear, then try my hand at the endgame expeditions. I really want to try out multiplayer too.

Trying to figure out what to play after I completed Cyberpunk; kind of that weird lull period. Still doing some Deep Rock missions every night, but already looking for the next thing to complete. Maybe get the real Hades ending by beating it ten times or go through the Halo: Master Chief collection. I also have some long overdue games on deck like Monster Hunter: World, Pillars of Eternity, Darkest Dungeon (70hrs but never finished), Dark Souls, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Ideally thinking of something that just retains some profiles with shortcut keys so you can just toggle gaming/non-gaming without having to manually configure it each time.

I think there’s dpi button(s) behind the scroll wheel you can press to toggle different dpi stages (usually something like 400/800/1200/1600/3200). If not, Razer has some software named Synapse you can download to mess with the settings and setup profiles.

Thanks for this! I had no idea and for some reason kept googling how to do it in Windows and didn't think to go "this mouse was pretty expensive, maybe I should RTFM!"

No worries. It's kind of a hardware bound thing based on what's in the mouse (optical, laser, etc...), so look to the hardware first. This is your weird Snapple fact knowledge of the day for the next time you need to buy one!
