I'm half expecting the G-League bubble to finish up and Bud just let's Diakite rot on the bench when he comes back.

You probably should fully expect that.

I was ready to play with the big boys after graduating from Virginia. I was once at a urinal next to Chris Alexander in my dorm.

Chris Alexander had the rare distinction of playing 30 minutes a game as a senior while averaging 3.1 points a game. That might be a record.

He was a dirty work guy. My favorite memory of him was from a game against Duke. Virginia was bringing the ball up the court, but of course, Wojo was all gritty and intense, so he was guarding the ball handler fairly tightly, even though Duke wasn't pressing. Alexander stood at about mid-court and set a screen. Wojo didn't see it and slammed into Alexander so hard that he had to leave the game.

STILL not as useless as Tim Jarmusz.

Re: G-League Thread (Nwora, Merrill, Diakite)
I am really hoping Diakite gets some run when the bubble is over. He really has not had much of a let down game in the bubble and his awareness and efficiency are really what stand out. He seems incredible coachable as well. It just seems like so much of his upside is exactly what Milwaukee needs. Give him 10 of Brooks minutes a night and I think it helps both players.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Well, it was the right decision longterm when Bud did the same with Dragan Bender. Bender is out of the NBA despite dominating the G League.

So has he been good enough that we can put Christian Wood in the rearview mirror?

Lol no. That should rightfully haunt us for some time, though admittedly, it's probably worse for Detroit given he was ACTUALLY good for them at the NBA level and they just let him walk.

Nah he'll be with the Kings or something next year and people will say he was overrated and uncoachable.

If he's doing that it better have happened after we've acquired some more draft picks or got off some bad salary.

Agreed, and include New Orleans in this too. He averaged 16 PPG on 61TS% and a 23.4 PER, and then Griffin nontendered him. Imagine the great fit of Wood next to Zion, instead of the terrible fits of Favors and Adams.
