It's only 12 hours from Orlando to Memphis by car. He's playing tomorrow; this is a good idea.

Nice, but will Bud play him over the almighty veteran Brook Lopez?

Would be interesting if Brook needed to be out for a week or two with something minor (not hoping for an injury, merely speculating IF) what this team would do to compensate and what that would mean for a guy like Diakite.

Also, just want to go on record, any of Nwora, Merrill or Diakite would have to hit the ground like a rocket ship to get any consistent minutes IMO from Bud.

Are there protocols he has to pass?

Nobody on the Bucks is required to pass.

Not if he drives or takes a charter. They get tested every day in the gubble.

Unfortunately, this is probably true. Maybe they put in some extra work with the rooks during the all-star break to get them ready for the second half, but I'd be shocked if any of them get regular rotation minutes no matter how badly we want it lol.

Throw him into the fire right away and see what we have. Because these rotations need to be figured out well before the end of the season. I'm excite.

This board is going to go absolutely bonkers when he rides the pine for most of the Memphis contest.

I don't expect him to play in Memphis unless it's a blowout.

I don't believe he'll be eligble to play in Memphis will he?

That said, I do expect him to get minutes next week. Why call him up early just to ride the bench?

Since he left the Bucks have made a ton of scheme adjustments. He probably shouldn't play until he's practiced with us for a few weeks, but we'll see.

Cap expert question? So I've been against signing Diakite to the 15 man roster now, because we'd be limited to signing him to a 2 year deal, so the contract would be up after next year.

However, I just remembered we have a little of the MLE left unused, so we could use that to give him a 3 or 4 year deal. Is there enough left for prorated rookie minimum?

I'm no cap expert, but he can stay in the 2 way spot and still be RFA this summer, NBA just voted to allow two way players to be playoff eligible, so I'm not seeing a reason Bucks need to convert him and use up the only empty roster spot.

Diakite reminds me of Thon but with a clue of how to play.
