OT: I'm Asking For Help To Keep My Streak Alive

Post#1 » by GrandAdmiralDan » Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:54 pm

I have been in attendance at every Bucks home game in Milwaukee, that fans have been allowed to attend, since April of the 2008-2009 season, including the next 10 seasons, and season 11 last season, until the NBA shut down.

I am legitimately depressed, today, thinking about the prospect of that streak having to come to the end. I understand, and accept, that it might have to, but I want so badly for it not to.

I am more than willing to pay for a ticket/tickets, but I do not currently have access to tickets (the entirety of the previous 11 seasons, I participated in the Fan Squad, in active leadership of the Fan Squad for those first 5 seasons before settling into more of an emeritus/advisory role).

It's now been a week since my second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech covid-19 vaccine, after having a serious 3-week bout with covid-19 earlier in the pandemic, and while I'm still very diligent with social distancing, masking, etc., I believe I can safely attend Bucks games now.

If there is anyone that can help me continue my quest, please contact me. I can be reached through Gmail, Twitter, or Facebook. DanIsEverywhere handle on all of those platforms. Or DM me here and I can message you my phone #. For the many of you who have my phone # already, feel free to pass it along.

Fingers crossed.

Agreed. Keep this streak alive.

I recall over a decade ago Dan had extra tickets for a game and he posted about it here. I sat with him and now thinking back I don't think he ever charged me for it. I hope karma comes back around for you tonight, Dan.

Good luck GAD. Tonight will be a tough one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Might be a long shot, but have you tried reaching out to the Bucks or something? It's a pretty good streak.

I have, yes, also earlier today.

I haven't heard back from them yet, but I can only imagine how busy most of them are right now, considering.

Pretty much same experience, bought tickets from him for a game, led me to being a Squad 6 member for a bit and good friendship with a great guy. Hope you can get into the game tonight, Dan! Gotta be someone out there with a hookup

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend.

However, last night was 250 people in attendance that were almost exclusively family and friends of the players. I'm aware of at least one exception that occurred, but that was a season ticket holder whose account has been in their family since the Bucks started in 1968.

Taking all of that into account, I feel like I can maintain my streak while stating the above caveat, as such a tiny number of fans were allowed in that you can't even really say fans were allowed at this game.

So I'm still trying to get there for every game, starting Thursday, from now on.

If anyone can help me make this happen, please still reach out.

Thanks!

So this week's Tuesday, Thursday, Friday ultra limited capacity didn't work out for me, but I'm working hard to keep my streak alive of attending every Bucks home game they've allowed fans to purchase tickets to.

Over the next few days, I'll be working on securing tickets to the second half of the season, so if you'd like to coordinate on some or all of those games, please let me know.

But first, I need to figure out the next five home games, before the All-Star Break. I had to act quickly and buy tickets to those 5 upcoming games. However, it is too pricey right now for me to absorb the cost of both tickets. My plan is to find someone who wishes to attend these games with me, and pay the cost of their ticket. The cost to you will be what I paid per seat (unfortunately there were some significant Ticketmaster fees that I had to pay).

Please let me know if you'd like to buy a ticket and attend any/some/all of these games with me.

Here is the list, with the cost you would pay (I paid double that amount, for the pair of tickets) for your one ticket. I'm not marking these up at all.

Sunday 2/21 8pm vs Kings
$90.17 per seat Section 220 Row 8 Seats 1-2

Tuesday 2/23 7pm vs Twolves
$90.17 per seat Section 223 Row 10 Seats 7-8

Thursday 2/25 8:30pm vs Pelicans
N/A, already going with someone

Sunday 2/28 2:30pm vs Clippers
$141.03 per seat Section 224 Row 13 Seats 10-11

Tuesday 3/2 8pm vs Nuggets
$101.44 per seat Section 223 Row 10 Seats 13-14

I have the seat next to me available for the $46 it cost me for tomorrow's/Friday's 6:30pm game vs Boston Celtics. 213 row 11. And the same for Saturday's 7:30pm game vs Knicks, in Section 212 row 12. Message me if you'd like to join me for one or both!
