Hopefully Giannis plays and has a big game, just to show the Warriors what they thought they were getting...lol. Remember the sign and trade rumors for Wiggins from the bay area sports media haha.

A few years ago nothing would have excited me more than the Bucks and Warriors, because at that point I was watching more Milwaukee than Golden State after moving from the Bay Area to the East Coast for college. But now I can barely muster up excitement for this game. I'm not going to lie, my desire to watch Bucks games has been dampened by the repeated playoff failures and the tactical inflexibility of Bud and now this Warriors team sucks eggs.

But here's hoping for a competitive game, even I fully expect this game to be over by the 2nd quarter. I'll be curious to think what you all make of this Warriors team. My basic thesis is: Steph remains a God, Draymond is pretty much the same but his unwillingness to shoot is a huge problem, Wiggins is actually quite fine, but the rest of the known commodities on the roster are shockingly bad (Oubre, Wiseman, and Paschall) and it's actually the guys most recently in the G-League (Poole, Lee, Mulder, and JTA) who are way better than advertised... but they don't get consistent minutes.

Some fun stats for you all to prepare for the game:

Wiseman might be the worst team basketball player in the entire league. He is the anti-Bogut. Never gets anyone else open. Never knows where to be. Always slips the screen despite playing with the greatest shooter ever. Calls for post-ups constantly. Bungles the ensuing post-up. Always tries to "go into his bag" despite the bag being a pocket. And again, Wiseman's BPM is still really bad: -5.6, worst among starting centers. But it doesn't tell the story of how he makes everyone else worse.

We've already seen how he makes Steph human. What do you think happens when mortals try to carry big Jim?

We rarely beat Dallas anyway so wouldn't the smarter decision be if you're going to rest him then rest him for that?

I’ve only watched Wiseman against the Bucks but did Warriors fans expect him to be a good player and to contribute to winning? The guy barely played at Memphis and is extremely raw.

In terms of W/L the smart move is to rest him in the game that will be tough anyway, yes. If they're really embracing the whole "get ready for the postseason" thing, then you're more likely to learn and get better playing Dallas at as close to full strength as possible.

Tucker being out shouldn't be a surprise, he isn't returning until he's in NBA condition.

There was widespread debate on the Warriors board predraft about Wiseman. Most posters thought he’d be able to play right away in the Javale McGee role and provide positive impact in limited minutes. I thought he’d be worse than Chriss (broken leg, alas) and Looney because he’d be a mess defensively but I thought at least he’d be a good rim runner. There were a few posters that were absolutely delusional though, including one who thought Wiseman would be our second option and better than Myles Turner THIS YEAR.

Instead Wiseman has been the worst player in the NBA to receive rotation minutes. He’s late career Andris Biedrins level bad on offense, despite having some shooting stroke and obvious potential as a rim runner.

Some of it is on Kerr for not putting lineups with shooting on the floor around Wiseman — or in general — and making it harder to run PNR. Wiseman is only 49th percentile PNR roll man right now in large part because when he plays with the starters, the lane is clogged because no defense respects Draymond or Oubre’s shots. But using Wiseman like Zaza or Bogut isn’t the solution and sticking with lineups with terrible spacing isn’t a solution either unless you’re tanking.

But the reality is that while Wiseman could be better utilized, he’s really bad right now. No understanding of how to set screens, when to flash middle and when to stay the F out of the lane, no touch outside of dunks, bad hands, an aversion to physicality, so and so forth. If he’d played a full college season, he’d have been a late lotto pick. Seriously. Watch these lowlights from his ONLY game against real competition in college. This is exactly who the Warriors are getting.

Hopefully it's just being over cautious but it's not great to see him miss a game after multiple days off. Specially after how he reacted pre game in Portland.

The main thing I see is with 3 max types being paid we sign more 5-7 mil per year types/buyout guys like Teague and Pat and less 12-18 mil guys like what DDV might get without much dropoff in results since those guys shouldn't have the ball much.

If we have to trade one of the big 3 it would be Mids.. we lose a lot of offense obviously but he can't be a 2 way like the other 2.

Yeah, it would make more sense to rest him vs Dallas if that's your approach. We'd be a lock to win tonight if Giannis played 20 minutes. Giannis could play 40 minutes vs the Mavs and we still might lose. The Bucks kinda did this down the stretch of the 2019 season. They'd rest him against the crap teams and play him against the good teams. I always thought that was ass backwards if you're going to rest him.

After missing 4 of the last 9 games no way they let him play back to back Thursday/Friday. My guess is they sit him at Dallas and he plays at home vs. Charlotte.
