PG: Bucks Lose MACC Fund Game to Charlotte

We started the day 3 games behind the Nets and Sixers in the loss column and play each of them twice yet, all at home. Sixers lost tonight. Maybe we couldn’t get the 1 seed but I’d still rather have 2 than 3. But it appears as if we’ve settled for #3. I don’t like it.

I like Nwora. Merrill was bad most of the game but played decent in the 4th. Give Diakite an off season with Suki and he could be a player. Maybe. Forbes takes a lot of heat on this board but he was solid tonight. Connaughton acted like he was too good to be on the court.

A mistake most rookie announcers make is talking too much. Hell Novak STILL does it, he doesn’t shut up. Nora was raw but she deferred to Marques most of the time and that’s fine.

If Kurucs is going to be on the roster, he should get some playing time over some of the other guys. If they don't want him for the off the court stuff, just release him.

Nwora, Merrill and Diakite all look relatively promising (in that order)

Kurucs didn't really show anything besides running the floor and making some quick passes, looked pretty undersized.

I like the kids, just not confident giving any of them minutes in the playoffs. Bud has the rest of the season to change minds and I hope he gives them burn, record be damned.

Forbes was awful. It's a 4 man zone when he's in.

Wish Bud would have let then play man sooner, you could tell the players were ******.

Nwora is a serious offensive player, but he lacks a sense of urgency too often, just like in college.

Merrill is really smart and plays hard. He's better than Forbes right now, and his passing would be a nice addition to the offense.

With the schedule so compressed down the stretch, I wouldn't mind doing this a few more times. It doesn't matter if we finish #2, #3, or #4.

I'd love to see Merrill be in the regular rotation over Forbes before the playoffs. He's the better player and better fit for this particular team. Plus Merrill would benefit greatly being on the court with one or all of Giannis/Holiday/Middleton.

That Merrill dunk got me off the couch celebrating .... reminded me the time I celebrated Giannis first dunk in 2013 !!! Lets Goooo ... I would love to see more of these lineups.

Get Nwora some time with the regular rotation. Confident quick triggers and shooters off the dribble can help when it matters.

Forbes is so good at moving off ball and setting up the screen/dho/etc. Merrill doesn’t have that in his game yet. He can get there, but it takes time adapting to a role after carrying the weight in college.

The fact that Merrill and Nwora can't get off the bench, but Forbes plays 20 minutes a night is enough reason alone that Bud absolutely needs to be fired after this season.
