Yesterday was frustrating but for all the mistakes we made, KD played the whole game and had and all time great performance, Jeff Green had one of those random Jeff Green games where he goes off and they only just won.
So back on home court, I like our chances of pulling out a win here.
However, who knows what mentality the team will have after the heartbreaker? If Harden and Joe Harris come out banging in threes at a high clip and we're down double digits at the half, you can all but put a fork in us. We have to be really good in the opening half as Brooklyn will want to blow us out early.
This series is still a coin flip. Let's hope the breaks go our way tomorrow.
They won’t need 50 from KD & a once in a lifetime performance from Green.
All they need is for Harden to be 10% better than he was & Joe Harris to play at his averages.
Our fanbase has always gotten too caught up in arguments like:
“He won’t shoot 7/8 from 3 again”
“We won’t shoot that badly again”
“They won’t keep _______ down again”
Etc
It’s a nonsensical, reductive argument because this team will always find new ways to lose.
But it somehow always seems like deja vu.
