Over/Under on 400 minutes played this year.
I'll take under. I think they'd have to convert him to a full contract and I can't see them doing that unless someone is injured (and they can't acquire a replacement).

Looking like a pre-RLEC Raef Lafrentz out there.

That happens quite a bit now that the NBA started listing in barefoot heights. If he's something like 6-9 barefoot, 6-10.5 in shoes then he would have been listed at 6-11 by the old standards just like he was in college.

I'm excited about MAMU.

He looks like an NBA player. Doesn't seem to force it much and plays within the flow. I love his passing and those finishes against Brooklyn were fantastic.

He has looked very good for our 3rd center. Can shoot from the 3 and mid range and looks pretty quick and athletic in his layups and dunks.

I've been not forgetting in the Mamu-Whiter Donte combined thread.

I am so excited and I just cannot hide it. I am about to lose control and I think that I like it that Mamu looks like he maybe could be a player.

Mamu was a really solid get for where we got him. Excellent pick. Hope he keeps developing, he's got the tools.

Even Georgius was a pleasant surprise. He's raw, maybe he doesn't develop much more, maybe he's too old. But honestly he was much better than the Tiny Gallons of old...

I stand by my comment. Tiny Gallon was not an NBA basketballet is a bridge I'll die on.

Mamu has played well the last few games. One nice thing is that he has very good hands. You expect him to easily catch and flush quickly around the rim while some other bigs are much slower with that process. Unlike Nwora, he's finding ways to make himself a useful player in a much different role than he had in college.

A term that continues to gain currency at Chonestown HQ is MAMU MENTALITY.
