Ron Swanson wrote:Oh Harden is absolutely a bad defender overall. It's weird that the "Harden is actually an elite post defender cuz of this one stat" narrative got so much traction a few years ago considering teams run post-ups for like, 10% of offensive possessions these days. If you're a PG/SG who can't defend in space then yeah, you're a bad defender. Harden getting fatter and losing lateral mobility has only made him worse.
As a wing defender yeah he's awful but I actually think in an ideal set up both him and Luka should probably be guarding PFs in today's NBA. Use their strength and downplay their lack of foot speed. Now it gets tricky because both guys basically play PG on O.

Add: I'm not implying they would be good defenders at the 4 but I think they would be passable. Especially if they actually bought into team D.

This is one of the most disrespectful blocks I've seen in a long time.

I was gonna say I'm impressed he got the number of nines right
But then I counted, and he didn't. And instead of stuffing up the last digits like normal people do, he stuffed up the first ones, because he's Michael

Turner:

“It’s clear that I’m not valued as anything more than a glorified role player here, and I want something more, more opportunity,” Turner told The Athletic Tuesday. “I’m trying really hard to make the role that I’m given here work and find a way to maximize it. I’ve been trying to the past two, three seasons. But it’s clear to me that, just numbers-wise, I’m not valued as more than a rotational role player, and I hold myself in a higher regard than that."

“I’ve been given many roles in the years that I’ve been here, and I feel like I’ve been able to produce at a high level in the roles I’ve been given,” Turner said. “I’ve shown that I can do the things they ask me to do, and I think it’s time to put that all together and be a more prominent night-in, night-out guy on the offensive side of the ball instead of someone who is asked to be a floor spacer and hide in the shadows.”

I 100% do not believe Miles Turner is anything more than a glorified role player - but hey, believe in yourself, man - but I'd welcome him to be a glorified role player here if there was any shot of working a deal out (there is not).

Bummer, I really liked him as a prospect. They are good at repairing ACLs these days but a scary injury for a guy who relies on speed/quickness.

And for lifting teammates up.

The Stat sheet showed he lifted 18 players up in his 12 minutes of action. He also lifted 2 cameramen and an usher.

LeBron can't just punt seasons anymore and I see zero avenues for LA to improve. Could get real ugly.

Prime and healthy McGrady was a monster. Younger folks probably only remember the injured shell of himself version but there was a short window where he was in the conversation for best player in the league.
